BSW, is anyone using it nowdays? Another good set went into oblivion.

I have tried that and I agree that this is a decent way to get the armor. I had a full BSW armor set in divines after opening about 200-300 chests (solo). (I wasn't counting then but I think it is a fair estimate.) But if you want a sharpened destro staff then I hope you have better luck than me (if trying it solo) or go with a group that will share with you. After I did all of that I only wanted a sharp stick and I started tallying each chest I opened (solo). I literally opened more than 1200 chests from that point on and I never saw a single sharp destro staff of any type - fire, ice or shock. (Don't judge me - lol - At one point I just kept trying it just to spite the sadists who programmed this RNG torture chamber.) I finally gave up hope and admitted defeat. I know the stick isn't that important but I had a build I wanted to try and thought it would be fun.

I wouldn't recommend grinding vet unless you want the jewelry. Not sure skipping the bosses on normal is a wise decision though. While grabbing chests and heavy sacks normal only takes maybe 15 minutes solo. That's 6 possible drops in 15 minutes from bosses alone.
Yep, when I did it I was farming for jewelry and/or dual sharpened swords and with the necklace being the last piece to drop the chests were my best bet. If looking for armor pieces/weapons clearing normal would probably be the faster way to go.0
