To all the people that have issues getting the 50 Killing blows...

I was a bit worried before the event that I would find it difficult, I don't PvP very often and when I do go into Cyro I usually concentrate on healing. Turns out it was rather easy and my concern was misplaced.

I got more than half of the kills I needed in Battlegrounds, and the rest in Cyro. As a templar I just made sure I had sweeps for close combat and radiant for ranged/execute slotted. Kills made with siege weapons also count, anyone can buy a couple of siege weapons and use them regardless of build or gear.

OP you have no idea what it is like to be a player who is new to PvP. I have way more than 100 boxes and had to create a new character to store all my PvP gear but my number of enemy players killed...0

If they tracked assists I would have hundreds, but kills, I don't get any. I have played two main characters my healer and my tank, neither is well suited to this. The +999 lag playing from Australia is also not very helpful. I have used my siege weapons a lot although mainly to break down walls but even when I am targeting attackers they only seem to do 10% of their health as damage. So kills, lol.

Just ask a friend to feed you killing blows in IC. Either that, or git gud and earn it in BG.

I've spent much more time on my Stamblade than on my Magsorc, and I've spent way more time sieging on my Stamblade.

I finished the 50 kills on my Magcorc in about 4 hours. I'm at 9 kills on my Stamblade. So no, it's a bit more complicated than "use siege engines."

Mind you, I'm not saying it's all about the class, either. Which campaign your on makes a big difference. My Magsorc was involved in a lot more big battles that lasted a long time, and my Stamblade was involved in a lot more medium-sized skirmishes. The other side of this is that my Stamblade got a LOT more boon Boxes per day, because keeps turn over a lot more when the engagements are smaller.

This is definitely a hard achievement. Besides lag...you must get the killing blow. Gotten 8 kills so far, this I'd probably not going to reach 50. Would of been better if it had assist or contributes. Guess there's only killing and no tatactics in PvP. While event was fun, I don't think I am leaving with a good impression of PvP.

What's hard about using your execute on low health enemies? The only ones who could maybe complain are magDKs, as they don't have a easy access to an execute - most use Leap as quasi execute. Still, even as magDK it's not really hard.

That's a great way for both people involved to get banned, and or jammed up. I do not recommend doing that.

One word - lag
I practically spammed my execute on every low health enemy I came across but most times, due to lag, I wouldn't get the kill. It was the same with using seige. Not to mention that for the first few days every time I would go near a keep, resource or engage in a fight with more than 2 or 3 players my game would lag out to the point where I'd get booted. (which I acknowledge & accept was the combination of my old PC and terrible Aussie connection)

I finally ended up getting the achievement by doing Battlegrounds.
One a side note, it was the first time I'd tried BG and loved it!

So yes, I can understand why some people have issues with getting 50 kills.

I don't PvP. WON'T PvP. Ever. Mainly because I suck and I'm not going to be an xp pinata for those that are good at it.

So yeah, anything locked behind PvP content is something I'll never experience.

Good for you and hopefully the rest of the PvE community learn from you, because right now they all seem masoquist as hell hahaha. This is a PvP event, don't like PvP, then why bother attempting this in the first place?

Yep. Agree with you. Play pvp on my stamblade & it has been hard going to get the feeble 10 kills I have at present. (Yeah, I know, git gud scrub etc etc yawn). I only have a limited time to play so that doesn't help. I don't gank but do seige / defend a lot - and it is not easy to get killing blows with it. But hey, am whittling down the health for others

But then I have noticed that even when I have managed to attack someone & they die in front of me, it hasn't registered. So have decided to either not care about this achievement & just enjoy playing pvp as normal or go play elsewhere.

And whilst I don't normally suffer from or complain about the lag, after one evening this week of disconnnecting EVERY time there was a seige (so losing AP) or even just a medium sized fight, that was the final straw.

Have calmly accepted will never be a star- whatever knight. And that's fine.

I stopped PvP'ing a while ago. Heck, I'm known on these forums for being outspoken against PvP in this game. But, started back up again just for this event. I had a few goals that I set for myself, and wanted to achieve them. So like any other goal I set for myself... I did it. I completed all of my goals, and with a few days to spare. And I'm happy I did it.

However! If it were just an event with no cosmetic or and title attached, I wouldn't have even bothered. Not worth the: Anger, frustration, nonsense, and toxicity. But, being as I could receive something that is limited? I figured I could tough it out until my goals were complete, and I was right. I have my main (overall) character with the Star-Made Knight title, as well as my character that I used to PvP strictly with as a Star-Made Knight. And it feels great. I like the cosmetic, and I somehow managed to score over 1M AP in a relatively short timespan. Lol.

L2Aim with your siege weapons then.... im racking up kills with them like hell.....

Bruh... Vicious Death + Coldharbour siege + flaming oils = easy kills.

That's the nice thing about playing a sorc healer in pvp, there is always place for that execute. And I believe it is called wrath of the whitestreak for a reason.

here's a step-by-step plan on how to complete this on ANY class and spec:

> Go to keep fight
> Place oils
> Wreck zerglings
> ...?
> Profit.

You can even do this on a hybrid nightblade healer in 3/3/1 armor with a resto staff on the front bar and a single 1H mace on the back bar.

It was harder fighting my group members Mages Fury execute than it was fighting the actual zerglings to get this achievement...

Seriously though, sorc execute was totally OhPee for this achievement lol.

Definitely agree with going into BGs for the kills tho

On a serious note you will have the best results with siege kills on a no CP campaign where there are less builds that can just stand there and laugh at your siege.

Use a cold harbor or standard fire ballista.

I think it was harder getting into a Battleground group that wasn't terrible (or against premades) to get the win than it was to get the 50 kills.

I have played PVP everyday since the event started.
38/50

I have used siege plenty of times people just don't die to them very often, they roll dodge, heal and shield through them. trying to actually hit people not on sieges themselves is pretty impossible.

I have an exacute sloted.. exacutioner.. but I get more kills with snipe to be honest... I just can't seem to actually do any damage with exacutioner, people are just fully buffed and blocking.. snipe.. the don't see coming.

The trick with siege kills is to aim for breeches or choke points. Aiming on a siege line isn't going to net nearly as many kills as aiming into a breech will, as enemies will have a hard time avoiding the siege in a breech.

Agreed. 50 killing blows in 2 weeks isnt much to ask. Siege especially with the amoubt off players in keep offence and defence these days ia a sure thing.

Its 2 fricken weeks to get 50 killing blows lol.

Honestly its the BG match im stuck on. Seems every time i manage to get in, me and my littke group of randoms get steamrolled by a premade lol.
