they alloyed pc players to switch when console launched so why not make money on it I would like to go to pc

    I'm for the idea, but I doubt it will happen. There have to be some significant logistical barriers stopping them or they'd have already jumped on that money fountain.

    I voted yes because I don't see it as being a bad thing for the game, but I agree with the comment below. Doubt we'll see it happen

    AFAIK the one time the copies happened, was only because they could do it before the console servers were live and accessible. It wasn't an option after the servers were brought online and with the money they would be able to charge for such a service I do think they would be on it, if their technology allowed for it.

    This is not like transferring a character from one PC server to another, like you might do in World of Warcraft, where the architecture is exactly the same on both servers. Things are different to fit the architecture on each of the three platforms.

    Some history here. They intended to release the game on all platforms at the same time. For a variety of reasons that did not happen. So, they told people who wanted to play on the console they could start out on the PC and transfer over when the console versions released. That is the only account transfer that has ever been offered.

    ZOS has stated a few times that no more account transfers will occur. I am sure there are a host of technical reasons for this among other things.

    Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

    The OP statement is rather misleading. Zos never simply permitted PC players to transfer. Others have explain why it was offered.

    If players want to move to PC or whatever do it. No one is stopping you. Many have done so already and are doing just fine.

    Don't bother with allowing transfer. Just make it all cross platform. Before people say it can't be done FFXI was cross platform for both PC and PS2.

    Sure communication was sometimes a pain, but that was before voice chat was really much of a thing. Now you could easily make that work as well.

    It can be done but that doesn't mean it's a good idea. Especially for PvP. Consoles do not have the same response time mostly due to the limitations of their devices.

    As for transferring, it could very well be an issue with the hosts if the console services. Console players are not dir from customers of Zos. There are limitations.
