Thieves Guild before completing main quest?

Hi guys. Can anyone tell me if the Thieves Guild DLC is meant to be done after the game's main quest in terms of story? Or does it not matter? I'd like to get on with the TG and come back to the MQ later but not if there are references to the MQ's completion in the story, or dialog from characters ect. I know technically you can do it any time you want but its important to me to do things in an order that makes sense to the story.

cjhhickman39✭✭✭✭From what I remember thieves guild has no interaction with the main quest story line. The dark brotherhood does have a few interactions with main story characters but I don't think there was any main quest ties0 -
