Is there an addon out there that will tell you upon mouseover if you have researched a particular trait on a piece of gear? Get's tedious checking to see if I've researched something to know if I should keep it or not...i tried checking minion but I don't know what to search for.

Yeah, Craft Store fully replaces stuff like Research Assistant or even research grid. It is a really nice, comprehensive, package.1
