Maelstrom Inferno - Sharpened ... I wan't to believe

You just switch up the mundus/CP depending on the trait you have. The difference in damage will be negligible.

Oh, so am I (I even min-max in single player games), but all within reason.
I'll min-max perfect stats if the grind is reasonable (like within 100 hours). If it takes more than 100 hours to grind something, I'll figure out the next best stat combo.
But you really put a seed in my head with the infused staff. MagDKs typically front bar blockade and I am very convenient with it. If I change front bar MSA precise inferno to Moondancer infused inferno, I surely won't put MSA on the back bar because I will keep blockade on front bar anyways.
So the question is, if the infused weapon damage glyph along with 124 SD moondancer bonus will make up for the Crushing Wall enchantment with 189 SD and 9% critical. I currently have weapon damage glyph on back bar and my average uptime on it is 30%.

I have gotten a Precise Inferno, but would really like the sharpened. How long did it take everyone before you got yours? I have seen some posts with some horror stories about 300+ runs without it. I really hope that is not the case for me, as I am getting sick of this arena.

I have been grinding Maelstrom a lot lately about 75+ runs so far. I have gotten all I need with the exception of an Inferno - Sharpened. I have gotten a Precise Inferno, but would really like the sharpened. How long did it take everyone before you got yours? I have seen some posts with some horror stories about 300+ runs without it. I really hope that is not the case for me, as I am getting sick of this arena.

In trail setups precise will actually be BiS for most players. Infused looks better on paper but its difficult to proc the enchant reliably to get an uptime of more than 80%.PC - EU (AD)Septimus Mezar - Altmer Sorcerer

SASQUATCH0✭✭✭✭I got pretty lucky, within my first 10 runs I got a sharp inferno as a stam dk. Immediately respeced to a mag dk. Couple runs later I got a precise inferno. Then in that same week got a nirnhoned lightning. Set for horns of the reach!0 -

I now have two inferno sharps with around 50 runs
Just missing sharp 2h for Stam
But remember that next patch traits will be different and sharp won't be the end all be all. Nirn is looking very nice.0 -

I've never seen a sharpened or precise inferno and it's the only weapon I really need since I main a magic dragonknight, so I've been confined to stam lately.

That's not actually true. Depending on the build it'll still be bis and in testing it still gets a touch more DPS than the others. Precise, infused, even charged are great options now though too so that makes the grind a bit more palatable1 -

Precise is just as good as sharpen, and it will be better next patch.
No it's not currently just as good. Not even close. Next patch it will situational better only as will inferno and even charged on lightning. As it will stand sharp will still be better for non optimal group settings.0 -
SoLooney✭✭✭✭✭Each loot is independent from each other, so yes, you can roll that ridiculous 100 sided dice many times and not get it.
Not to burst your bubble but i have 3 inferno staves sharp, one was from the leaderboard, i play both mag and stam.
Still looking for a bow sharpened, received 13, all but sharpened, still have to try.
Anyways, sharpened isnt gonna be a big deal next patch anyways0
