If you've invested thousands of hours and dollars in this game, it's kind of hard to move on. And just because servers are unstable, doesn't mean the game is bad.

Everyone has different experiences, I play on EU-PC I really do have minimal issues.....

I've been PVP-ing for the last week, the worst I've had is a couple of endless loading screens.

I think as far as PC goes, everyone has vastly different rigs, maybe some cope better than others?

Yep. There's actually a ton of enjoyment still to be had. Plus, it's the freakin' Elder Scrolls, which is frankly the only thing keeping a lot of people around. Between poor product performance and the half-arsed introduction of housing, the INSANE prices for many crown store items and the predatory and unscrupulous gamble boxes, I personally know a ton of people who have left. I've kept a sub since launch, sometimes two. Yet I've never once felt appreciated as a customer by this company.

Most server problems are on NA, especially today.

Dude just because you have no problem being taken advantage of doesn't mean other people do. I can see you in real life getting screwed over on something you payed for and using that same mentality you just did on this forum and it would make you look like a fool imo. So shutup and keep paying that sub without any questions why servers suck so bad.

Zos needs to upgrade something..i seen atleast over 1000 different players with dwarven mounts. That alone is atleast 40,000$ just off what i seen in a few days. Imagine every mount, house, costume, dlc, character slot, race change, crown crates, store crowns, pets, etc sold thats atleast 1 million dollars off things that didnt take too much to make

this is not in their defense or anything, but do you have any idea the operational cost of running a datacentre? I would say no.. but i can guarantee you it is somewhere up in the multi millions per annum for ZOS. core aggregation switches can be somewhere around half a mill each, plus any maintenance (i.e. cisco smartnet, im assuming top level cover), and i would asume they'd have a preconfigured redundant backup switch as well. blade chassis arrays (assuming they have a good two dozen at least) - 10k a pop if theyre using something like a cisco UCS + PSU's, plus individual blades (10k each in barebones specs) x 8, plus fiber interconnects - 10k each. edge switching - 8-10k each depending, UPS (3phase) - 100k for APC, SAN's (EMC $$$$$$), Backup Tape Libraries + a SAN environment just for mirroring (AVAMAR/Veeam etc), environmental control - lets say Emerson or something similar, also in the hundreds of thousands - were talking ballpark 7 million + not including premises, fitout costs/raised flooring/electrical works/cable systems (Lets say 3 Mill for that) etc for something that's probably being replaced once every 2 years at most. Lets say the game runs for 14 years, that's about 100 million JUST in server infrastructure costs alone over the life of the game.. and i haven't even begun to cover bandwidth costs or software licensing costs (virtualization etc) yet..

...that's not including every other department they have to factor into operational costs - developers, network admins, sysadmins, security personnel, management teams, marketing, outsourcing of tech support, this is a business. with shareholders. not a charity.

And remember income from the game is always dropping from day one - Initial game sales might buff out development costs (and remember it cost over $200 Million to produce ESO), but the only way to keep stimulating revenue for ongoing operational costs is through other streams like Subs, Crowns, DLC's and Expansions.

All this you get for the paltry sum of a few hundred bucks and years of entertainment.

Sure beats going out on the p1ss every friday night and coming home plastered with nothing to show for it.

I bought this game and pay Sony a subscribtion in order to play this game, I subrcribe to a craft bag, bought a mansion and spend thousands of hours on the game.

Nowhere does it state on the game box or on advertising that I will be subject to lags, crashes and loadscreens.

If your product is faulty then it is your resonsibility to fix and provide me with the service I expect and continue to pay for.

Consumer rights people, get to know them!
