Question about transmutation set

Lets say I have 5 piece transmutation on my front bar only.
On my back bar, if I cast extended ritual and quickly switch to my front bar, will it proc the 5 piece transmutation bonus?
Or does it only proc when you CAST a heal over time ability with the 5 piece on.

IxskullzxI✭✭✭✭It procs whenever you get healed by a heal over time. So you can cast your ritual, then switch bars and you will have the buff. It actually has to break you, though. If you're at full health it won't do anything.#HowDoYouLikeYourDK?2 -

Sweet what if I cast resto ult on backbar and then switch to front bar does it give the 5 piece effect to everyone in group as well?0 -

bubbygink✭✭✭✭✭I feel like ultimately what you're wanting to know is: "can you have 5 pieces of transmutation only on your back bar?" I.e. your resto staff is your 5th piece. And the answer is yes. That is a very effective setup. Many people will do 2 piece monster, 5 pieces of an offensive set or something like Riposte on their front destro bar (so the 5th piece of that set is the destro staff) with 5 piece transmutation on their back bar.1 -

You have it backwards. Use sword & board back bar Transmutation and put your Ritual there, then put a VMA/Master/etc. destro or 2 piece DW like Torug's Pact/Willpower/etc. on the front bar.1 -

You have it backwards. Use sword & board back bar Transmutation and put your Ritual there, then put a VMA/Master/etc. destro or 2 piece DW like Torug's Pact/Willpower/etc. on the front bar.
Buying 2 transmutation swords for front bar is a lot cheaper than buying 2 willpower swords lol. Hence why I asked if the 5 piece can proc on front bar even if I casted my HoT from my back bar.
Also i don't like using sword and board I prefer restoration staff, hence why I won't have the 5 piece active on my backbar.Edited by Exodium on July 24, 2017 9:20PM0
