Should ZOS put a warning or popup or something in the game to tell everyone that the daedric thrones are free and one should not buy them from a ripoff trader selling them for 5K or more?

Hoping for more playable races.

I just want werewolf to be viable in endgame PvE T.T (which not allowed according to PTS update 50)

There is no in-game warning at all or information on this, that's not stupid, that's just being new to the game.
Or just someone who doesn't use the forums, from what Ic an tell nothing in the game tells you about this so if you don't use the forums, you won't know.

If you are buying from an out of guild trader, buyer beware.

If you are getting scammed by members of your own trading guild, then bring it up to the leadership. If they don't kick the person you know you are in a guild that is okaying with scamming its members and you should leave it.
"Never go in, miss. Never say a prayer at its door. If you are angry, do not seek revenge by the Laughing Maiden Stone, or at the threshold of the Tombs. There be those who listen for oaths and vows...What may be said in innocence and ire becomes flesh and blood in such places."

What if they never know becaue no one or nothing tells them though? That is the problem.

This should have been announced on the launcher or where ever casuals go to be up to date on events. Other free gifts are announced all over the place. When this throne came out no one knew it wasn't a bug until they checked twitter. Casuals don't check twitter before every game session.

People still buy the common racial style stones when the venders sell them. You can't everyone's hand all the time.

In this case the only people who would lose out are people unwilling to exploit bugs.

The only place where they have said the throne is free is on the forum and since only a minority uses it most people wouldn't know for sure that it is intended and not just a bug.

It's Sunday, ZOS isn't doing anything.

People need to learn how to be informed themselves. They aren't innocent, they see something in the trader that they think is a steal and they are grabbing it. If they weren't so greedy upon seeing them and took the time to ask about the item and why it's so cheap, either in guild or in zone, they wouldn't be "ripped off"

In EVERY MMO using the forums just to be informed, its a huge advantage vs the casual player who dont give 2 sh*ts about the current state of the game (Im mostly talking about those who doesnt read patch notes and then are wondering why their builds doesnt work anymore).

People should do their own research... If not, well, they paid for that...

@Berenhir @Argah Lol, you people speak as if a free bit of furniture from an event is some core game mechanic, being gutted if made clear. It's scummy and counter to the fun of the event to try and do that to the uninformed, but anything for muh profit right?

Do you react the same when the effects of literal core mechanics are revealed? G-g-game's t-too easy if you can learn about how it works in-game! Gotta hide everything from the player so they have to learn it themselves google everything...

In what way is this different to any other free item with a limited supply that has a market value once it's no longer freely available?

I'm reminded of the "shinies" that are collected in EQ2, for example, including those which are only ever found as part of the Frostfell event at Christmas. I always used to hang on to the surplus ones and sell them at other times of the year when their value had risen. Why is the throne any different?

People will only pay say 5K for an item if they think it's worth it to them - in which case they're not being ripped off.

I see all the noob haters stormed in.... shouldn't be surprised, the forums is full of elitist players wanting to prey upon noobs. This is why the forums will always be more toxic then actual in-game. Instead of people wanting to inform their fellow players, they rather cheat them and rip them off, while being proud of it. We can't have a warning in that case, how will the greedy traders earn their money? Lol, typcial.
