I've been playing in Cyrodiil in non-cp campaign during the event. And only once I saw distance characters moving as in slide show. Otherwhise no lag!
Whatever is the reason: fixes, my own network or the non-cp campaing, Cyrodiil is more fun this way.

✭✭✭✭✭Non CP campaign still had plenty of lag if you were close to any major fight. The servers were stable and predictable today, but my ping would shoot up from 110 to 200 if I was close to a Zerg.

Sorry to hear, that was not the case with me. I mostly participated random big fights, and still had no issues.
