Alright, as I'm well aware that there were many inquiries pertaining to this subject matter pre-Morrowind release, I'll consider them obsolete and as not currently up to date.

Now, I've read many various topics on this subject and I would like a post-Morrowind update and general knowledge and tips from people who have the experience I'm looking for.
Here goes..

I have a standard copy of The Elder Scrolls Online 'Tamriel Unlimited' edition of the game. This was a (used copy) at a very solid price, so I picked it up to try the game out.
I really enjoy the experience thus far and want to increase my experience even further. I would therefore like to purchase the [Digital Collector's Edition Morrowind Upgrade].

Will my Digital Collector's Edition code for Morrowind work with my standard 'used' copy of Tamriel Unlimited?
And if so, will I get all the bonus in-game items that come with the Digital Collector's Upgrade code?

I'm genuinely confused a bit as there are, as I mentioned, a variety of reviews and opinions on the subject...some people say this, some people say that...they didn't get this, they didn't get that.
It worked for this person, but not for this person. I figure there might be another just like me on the same boat with similar questions. And now that we are post-Morrowind release I didn't think it would be a terrible idea to get updated knowledge from this community on the subject.

I have used Tamriel Unlimited, work perfectly, no problems. I want Digital Collector's Edition. Is it compatible with my current copy, what should I expect from the purchase?
I appreciate all of the assistance.
Sincerely, Thanks.

I'm not trying to sound like a jerk or anything, but just trying to help. I think the only way you're going to get your answer is if you contact customer support directly. If I tell you what should happen or what happened in my experience, you'll just put my reply in one of your categories. Then what happens if the next person says the opposite of what I said?

With that in mind you also have a very specific circumstance with your "used" copy.

If you want my recount of my experience though, I have the digital imperial collector's edition of the game and then bought the physical collector's edition of Morrowind. I applied the code to my account and instantly had all of my promised rewards in game when I logged back in.

    Hope you find your answer.

^ Static is correct. Contact customer support. Trolls prowl these forums regularly.

That said, I had digital Imperial collectors edition and got the digital collectors upgrade for morrowind and got it immediately.

I can't say the same will happen to you, as it is a used account. Best of wishes

Once you buy Morrowind you will not need the disk anymore. The base game is included in Morrowind.

You can give away the disk to a friend like I did!

If you buy the digital collectors edition you will get the items! Make sure you are on the right account when you buy, because Morrowind will only work for one account! Alt accounts will not have access

    Cheers!

It should. Technically Morrowind, and the Morrowind CE are DLC for the base game. The upgrade is just to bypass having to buy a new copy of the core game (which you already own).

You should. But, there's some confusion over what was a preorder incentive and what was bundled into the purchase directly.

It should be. I mean, technically there are two separate CEs for ESO. One was the Imperial Edition back at launch, and the other is Morrowind's CE.

Basically, with Morrowind you're getting the zone, and all the stuff bundled in. It also includes the Warden class.

The Morrowind CE adds some neat little baubles to mess around with. Off the top of my head, there's a pet (a charged Dwemer spider), the Warden Costume (specifically the outfit worn in the trailer), a mount in Dwemer style armor, an alternate skin for the Warden's bear companion, and a few random items like a Dwemer crate (grab bag), 2 XP scrolls, and some treasure maps for Vvardenfell (which if they work like the old explorer pack maps, are nearly worthless).

If you just want the zone, and the Warden, you don't need the CE upgrade. The normal digital upgrade is fine. If you do want the other stuff, then you'd need to grab the CE.

The tricky part is, some of the CE stuff (including the crate, warden costume, and mount) were preorder incentives. Supposedly these are permanently part of the CE, but I have no idea exactly what's going in.

I weighed the regular digital & CE upgrade and wanted to run with the CE (comes with a few extras).
Also, the used copy was my initial concern, yes. As I came into some reading where users who did not have this copy or that copy couldn't get Morrowind upgrade to work I guess.

I will specify that the used copy was from a video rental chain, I picked it up for $12.
When I inserted the disc, it seemed like a normal experience. It proceeded to install and afterwards I was prompted into creating my ESO account with my chosen email and user. So even if the disc was used by another source or multiple other sources initially, I still was able to create an account for that disc. So maybe I'm good to roll with the CE upgrade :/

Although if there is an option to contact customer support, how would I go about that?
Is that through email/chat/phone? If I can just speak directly to CS over the phone that'd be fantastic.
Much thanks for all the insight.

Heres what I did. I played the free trial of ESo back in April, and liked it so much I downloaded the game on PS4, now I preordered the Morrowind, so my Tamriel was a digital game, and the Morrowind was a physical disc, and both work together.

If you go to the help section, and submit a ticket, they email you so fast. I had a daily that was unfinishable, and I submitted a ticket through the game, and within minutes I had a response in my email.

I typically enjoy buying games to support development and the people who work hard to put games I enjoy together...but at times the only real way to find out if you'll enjoy a certain game is to rent it and sample it...but when I walked in for that and saw a copy (they buy in bulk, then slash for profits) for $12 the choice was simple as that was just a double rental basically, so I just bought it for it's price.
This was well before any 'free trial' of ESO, otherwise I would have went that route.
That said, after my experience I rather enjoy the game and it's content for what it provides to my enjoyment, I became a Plus member earlier in the year subbing for six and I can see a renewal in my future as well.

I've done some additional reading and came across an older article about the game pre-release and it seemed to have the answer I was looking for mixed in the text. The article is found here: https://www.geek.com/games/used-copies-of-the-elder-scrolls-online-on-ps4-and-xbox-one-will-not-work-1622808/

Having read the above article and the information therein I have come to the conclusion that it shouldn't matter that I have a used copy of TU. I have a unique account using my email and etc. I think I'll grab the digital CE upgrade code and see what happens. Though, if things go south I will undoubtedly be upset. I will inform of results this evening.

Yeah, the only thing about used copies on the console is that, I think, the Gold Edition (with the IC, Wrothgar, Hew's Bane, and Gold Coast) doesn't include a working code for that content (if the original owner redeemed it). But someone who has that version can probably tell me if it was a separate code.

Alright, aside from having a Playstation account issue with my password (which I did not change) and this is the second time experiencing that, all went well. I did have to purchase the upgrade code from Amazon as it wouldn't let me add an additional CC to my PS account.

As soon as I redeemed the code I jumped over to the ESO section of the PS store, added item to cart, confirmed the purchase, didn't notice the disc image change from TU to Morrowind, so I chose to reboot the system, which was not needed, same image after reboot. Started the game up with crossed fingers, booted straight into the opening of Morrowind. Logged in, and received all the fabulous rewards as well.

Very pleased and currently very content with my choice.
Now....if only I didn't have a PS account security issue looming overhead...this would have been perfect.
On the ESO side of things it went without a hitch though. Recommended experience 10/10.
Now to go enjoy my game.
Thank you everyone & Thank you ZoS for the service.

@Swifigames, something that might be worth knowing for future reference:

Most multiplayer games, including all (or nearly all) MMOs, maintain a single live build. That is to say, there only is one live version of the game that you can actually play. They'll include all of the relevant data and then segregate off the pieces that you have access to and use.

There's a couple reasons for this. The big one is that it saves development resources. If you're maintaining two builds, then you need to devote resources to keeping both up to date (this is one of the things that sunk Hellgate: London, by the way).

The big takeaway (for any future chapters) is this: however ZOS chooses to couch it, these will still be added into the game you already own and play. They're not a seperate build of the game, the way something like Far Cry: Blood Dragon is. Or even the way things like Dragonborn and Dawnguard inject new content into Skyrim. Whatever boxed release comes next, the content will be in your build. What you're paying for is access to it.

I hope that makes things more clear, on what to expect in the future.

EDIT: This is also why you had instant access when you entered the access code. You already downloaded Morrowind when the... June 5th patch (I think) hit PSN. You were just authorizing your account to access it.

Anyway, sorry about the delay, and I hope Vvardenfell's been living up to your expectations.
