Sending newbs to the slaughter isnt mayhem. It's an attempt to bring back PvPers via serving up easy meat. I propose we change the name to *Easy meat for the vets*
Does CP and player level affect siege weapon damage? The zerg cares not about these things. It only consumes forts. Hold nothing, take everything, lose it all and start over again.
"Never go in, miss. Never say a prayer at its door. If you are angry, do not seek revenge by the Laughing Maiden Stone, or at the threshold of the Tombs. There be those who listen for oaths and vows...What may be said in innocence and ire becomes flesh and blood in such places."

But I willing go to the slaughter! So maybe that is mayhem or madness on it's own?

This event isnt meant for PvE'ers hate to tell ya. That fresh meat, its their choice to come into our world. This event is FOR pvp'ers, just rewarding them for what they love to do everyday.

How many times in PvP have you been seeing the same names over and over and over again these past few months / years?
Do you expect PvP will last if no new blood finds their way into Cyrodiil?
Events like this are the perfect way to keep interest fresh and perhaps interest some new people who were not interested or scared of PvP before and entice them to give it a shot. Whether it's Cyrodiil or Battlegrounds or both.
Now, sure that's going to bring a lot of inexperienced and downright clueless players into it for a while. But those don't stick around. The one's that do will learn to adapt and the ones that don't will leave.
But then, you have to admit those 60-man newb zergs have been very effective at overrunning and hijacking sieges as of late. At least on Sotha Sil. Not sure what it's like on Vivec these days.
It takes a very specific mindset to enjoy PVP. You must accept death. Once you are not bothered by dying, you have to ask yourself, what do I have to lose? And then it becomes fun. Trust me, ESO is super easy on PVP death, most games out there you either lose precious XP and/or drop items. Some games the PK is so brutal you don't even get to quest in some parts of the world because it. I know how many times I stood there to listen the NPC give the quest and get trounced in the middle of it. Or go sleep leaving overnight fishing and wake up in the bottom of the ocean with my boat in flames. ESO PVP is a joke and there is nothing to be afraid of. The only off putting thing is there is a level of cheating but I never found a game where those are 100% non existant.
First- I neither enjoy nor detest PvP. It's part of the game and I play the game. It was an observational comment on the amount of newbs either getting trashed or standing at the walls to collect the rewards. Those that have that *specific mindset* aren't going to just target the newbs. They dont see newbs and vets, hard kills and easy kills. They see targets. They see mage, fighter, tank and healer targets. I find it humorous that you take offense at the sarcasm of this thread.
Idk who you are talking to but I dont see anyone taking offense to this thread. I was talking about the fact that you start a discussion and then twice tell us not to "continue".

look at the '*specific mindset*' and you'll figure it out.
