Overreacting about event

Guys seriously, ZOS made a great event that people can participate in. I understand that some people experience lag and loading screens and long Q times, but guys come on, its not this simple, ZOS have done a lot for us, they are still experimenting and i am sure doing their best to give us, players tge best experience possible. We are getting 100% AP bonus, come on guys. But i do in fact agree that due to lag that some people may experience, and the long Q times, ZOS should extend tge length of the event.

    I agree with op.
Same goes for the bitching about the achievements. Lot of mmos require you to have the latest contentpacks/dlc s whatevet.
Ppl just cry when stuff isnt free. Its the first pvp holiday event and they cry for being forced to play pvp. Too much qq in the forums.

Dont get me wrong! Theres still lot of improvement for the game.

    Have a nice day.

PvP is a laggy mess, queues are broken, achievements broken

But at least there are so many noobs running around to 1 shot. I can't really complain :D Thank you ZOS

The idea is good and the event itseld would be nice, but the problem is its implementation and long queue time.

When you enjoy PVP in this game and suddenly become number 400+ in queue, your playtime is pretty much screwed.

I'm a PVE roleplayer concerned about my vampires stage 4 skin tone and keep getting load screens so I came here to distract people from major issues with a rant thread about my characters cosmetic appearance.

    There's only 1 no-CP campaign

Also when you pvp you tend to play on your home campaign ...

    I agee with the OP.

Yeah, PVP can be a mess with queues and lag, but they opened additional campaigns, and no one should expect them to roll out a lag fix to coincide with the event.

Nothing is ever going to be perfect. Go have fun. If you can't, then don't participate. Why stress over it?

The more people complain about this PvP event, the less likely ZOS will bother with another one. I'm amazed they continue to come up with new PvP initiatives after all the stick they've got over Imperial City, dueling, battlegrounds, and now this event.

I assume that all those struggling with lag on the NA servers have done traceroutes and eliminated any possibility of their problems being part of the network routing issues that have plagued those servers, and have also disabled their addons including especially the trading ones in order to see if that resolves the lag as it has for some on the forum?

@Tandor oh poor ZOS doing good all around and mean people dont appreciate it! Of course the fact that BGs are broken to this day, cyrodil laggy as usual, long loading screens are a given when you group in pvp, reducing number of pvp campaigns knowing that they will get more people in pvp during event - its all but a scratch and i really dont understand those whining, entitled kids.

It unfortunately is poorly designed overall. Most people who play PvP as their main focus in this game have picked a campaign. They always play the same campaign for a number of reasons (bonus of home campaign, playing with friends/guild mates, competing to win campaign for their side etc.)

Now thanks to this event they essentially cannot play their chosen piece of the game. Example, I play Vivec PC NA. Shortest que I have seen since the event started even at off hours is 645. This is at least 2 plus hours before even being able to get into the campaign. Getting into your chosen campaign is far more important to a PvPer then simply playing in any chosen campaign for the sake of PvP

For those who say don't worry, I wonder how they would feel if Raid guilds or dungeon players etc were not allowed to play their prefered game choice for well over 2 plus hours before even being able to start to play for 10 days. I am guessing they would be pissed

It's a special event. It isn't a new permanent thing. In a few days, it will be over and everything will be back to the way it was.

Oh just get over yourselves and have some fun. I have times in this game when I just pvp & yes it is annoying to have to queue but then I just go farm / steal until I get in. No big deal.

But have had such excellent fights / seiges over the last couple of nights that it's worth it. Some truly epic - even with the lag. Right proper battles that test your mettle (or ability to push buttons in correst fashion ;) ) so quite happy.

They added new campaigns just for this event. I go in a guest campaign until i can enter my normal home campaign, which as @Hallothiel has pointed out has had some amazing fights the last two nights :)

Pretty sure the people saying deal with it are PVE players XD

Maybe with all these PVP focused disasters ZOS might do something about the multiple year long issues with Cyrodiil connection issues and PVP in general

So the last month on the forums with multiple reports of server issues just poo poo?

You neglected to mention that in your post, did you not see them perhaps? Its one thing to do an event, yep its cool. Its another to do the event KNOWING that there will be issues that affect players negatively and pushing through anyway.

It suggests they either dont care, cant fix the problems, or want the player to have a negative experience. Im going to be generous and eliminate the later.

The event is great. I'm enjoying the PvP and AP. It's nice to see others doing the same (thumbs up ZoS on a successful event)......that said...They should have opened new campaigns or at the VERY least had some campaigns ready to implement to handle demand. They should have reset all campaigns at the start of the event and they should implement a queue priority or subscribers..

My only complaint is acknowledging the problem on Thursday and not make a maintenance Friday morning. To leave the servers like that during prime time in the weekend was a killer. That said it is better today then yesterday but lots of my friends and acquaintances are still having a hard time participating. I'm one for first impressions and this will probably not sit well with newcomers/returning players to PVP. Also no new non-cp campaigns. If worked flawless I'd say is one of best events they did.

Battleground achievement is broken...so yeah, if the event is Cyrodil and Battlegrounds, half the event is broken.

Events where 50% of the content is not working probably is not a good thing.

Agreed. There's a LOT of over-reacting here on the forums to almost everything. For whatever reason, a lot of folks are incapable of simply reporting an issue without dragging in a ton of melodrama and baiting and tooth-gnashing and general Acting Out.

Understand that I'm not saying that there aren't legitimate issues, just that 99 percent of them don't warrant all the damn drama.

It's interesting (at least from an academic perspective) how so many people are so willing to accept sub-standard work as a job well done. The only standard people should accept from any for-profit organisation is a fully working, professional product.

The fact that terrible game x is worse doesn't make less-terrible game y acceptable.
Even on the internet, clear communication is important; it can be the difference between "helping your Uncle Jack off a horse" and "helping your uncle jack off a horse"; the difference between "knowing your s***" and "knowing you're s***".
