Looted items have no value?

No, not picked up weapons/armor, looted items out of urns.

One of my alts can't sell looted items, well, he can, but they all have 0 value. Furnishing designs and ash/bones/etc have minimal value, but he's lvl 30.
It's odd because my lvl 18 alt can sell lower level items, and they do have value, and ash/bones are worth 12 for her, but 6 for him. They are both wardens, both have ledgerdemain but not TG.

Anyone know what might have happened, or did I forget to add a skill line?

Most of the weapons and armor and jewelry you get from furniture/containers has 0 Value. Been this way for more than 2 years. Some is Intricate, but those are rare.

Makes sense kind of, as who would generally leave behind something that has value? But, when these items were added to the loot tables, it caused an uproar as it diluted the chance to get recipes and motifs and prov ingredients.

Trash loot has always had a scaled value, based on character level. So things like Ash, Gnawed Bones etc, scale in value.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Uh, no. If you look the urns in Vvardenfell, the items DO have value. For my CP630's it's 27g each.

What you are thinking of is weaons or armor that are out on tables, or on the ground. If they are pulled out of a container, they should have value.

You can't sell "stolen" items at a vendor. You need to visit a fence to sell or launder them.

There actually appears to be a bug or something. They generally do NOT have value. For 5 characters that I've looted urns on lately their value is stable 0(same Vvardenfell urn if you're wondering). However, items looted on 6th character(cp 630, as well as several of the 0 loot ones) somehow have value. I have no idea why, looks like a bug to me.

@Magdalina that is interesting. I have 2 630's so that makse sense. What doesn't make sense is my lvl18 that has value then. I'll post some screencaps to bugs then.

For two of my cp630+ toons this is the case in Vvardenfell and everywhere else, for 12 of my cp630+ toons they are 0 value.. but the two that have the values also have maxed ledgermain where as the others do not

The very rarely found rubbishy green weaps you loot from containers have value but the white things you pick up have no value, regardless of your character's level.

And the value of the ash junk loot is dependent on character level.

I doubt it's ledgerdemain. My lvl18 gets stuff with value but her ledgerdemain is... 2.

Have auto loot on and tend to end up with loads of 0g diamond rings from looting containers in delves and public dungeons.
Gear you steal however tend to be cp150 for cp160+
Tables might have been updated for Morrowind.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

They changed this, plus green recipies, looted food mats etc...to help with the gold farming. Too many bots just stocking up from containers and selling at the vender back when these items were worth a lot of gold.

Not Legedermain. My only toon that has Legedermain leveled is getting 0 value stuff also, while my char that gets non 0 value loot has 0 Legedermain.

Yeah i noticed this, the display armour/weapons that sit in blacksmith/woodworking/clothier areas alos have no value. It's not a big deal but why it is that was is a good question. Considering how easy it is to steal green quality items which have a gold value of 100 you wouldnt think stealing weapons and armour ,which would probablly have a value somewhere between 40-80, would be a big issue.
