For those interested in starting healing vet trials, here's lots of advice from a scrub on how to set up your healer. Still a work in progress, so I appreciate any suggestions!

Not a bad general aid. However seems to be missing some information. Granted, did a quick lookover and missed Worm set and Master rRstaff which are certainly worthy of mentioning.

I do see a lot of work went into it and must give kudos. Good to see people willing to help the community.

Love the set up of the site, however some of your important info is just your opinion. Also if I was a noob healer I would want to see for instance YOUR set up and not a list of skills or gear that is good. Things such as in a normal veteran dungeon setting, what should my skill bar look like or for HRC blah blah.

I would like to add at least for the CP red tree section - 11 points in the Lord section, pref quick recovery for the 10 point bonus on damage reduction while rezing. 11 points because thats were you get that full % in.

As a templar healer, orbs is not "needed" because shards and orbs share the same CD and do the exact same thing. I perfer shards because its quick and accurate.

Im clear its a work in progress and its coming a long nicely, keep it up! We need better healers out there haha.

I disagree on the orbs for a Templar. Relying on shards alone means sustain will lack in groups. I am fairly certain top raiding groups are still using orbs. If it's good for them ah sacrifice sustain with other groups. Im glad I still see them in raids. Hate to think of having to chase after shards in vHoF.

With shards a healer would need to tow a shard as soon as the previous one was picked up. Orbs can be put out a few at a time and they heal (with the right morph) for a pretty good chunk.

maybe I'm old (I am), but I don't care for the site setup, but I do appreciate the sharing of information.

I'd be interested in you taking a whack at a scrub NB healer for vet.

Coincidentally, I was thinking about NB healing earlier today lol
Also if you have any formatting suggestions, I'd love to hear. My background is neither computers or websites, so there's a lot I don't know!

Hey Icy! Off the top of my head, @flizomica has completed vMoL on her DK healer, she's the pro-est of DK healers I know. Also a super awesome person in general :)

Yeah I can agree with this to an extent, but remember in a trials environment there will be 2 healers, preferably a warden who doesnt have shards and has to use orbs. Thats the only down side to shards is the fact that only 1 can be out at a time, still overall ill take shards over orbs anyday as a healer.

It's possible to run vet trials with any type of healer. Other healers simply aren't optimal and lack in certain areas.

While DKs have a nice Major Mending this patch, they really lack in class heals or passives.

I've healed all the trials except vHoF as a templar with a DK partner (clears, not top scores mind you..)
Make PC NA raiding great again!

    Down with drama!

What Mechanics Healer - Dro-m'Athra Destroyer

    Homestead Raid Scores
    vHRC 157,030
    vAA 138,287
    vSO 153,393
    vMoL 154,550

    Not raiding in Morrowind

However, for sustain the orbs permit more getting their main stat and considering there are top raiders, and I would assume across all levels, that use 5pc MD the orbs are more readily available.

Groups I run with in vMoL and HoF, well, all the trials, orbs are present and for vHoF both healers are running them since players are spread out and in some fights separated from each other.

Homogenizing orbs/shards did not really make it one or the other. Shards are superior for the tank since one morph also provides a little of the secondary stats and most tanks use both resource polls.

Can trials be done with just shards, of course. Is it ideal, no.

Yes, but only the Templar and Warden really have solid class heals. Of course they are the first and second class choices for the roles.

I have cleared and seen cleared with other classes including myself as a Sorc.

Personally, I like orbs and shards. I throw shards at the tank and orbs for the group, especially when people are spread out. I also love orbs on Vet hel-ra when we have to shield up, I throw orbs in diff directions and shield up and it keeps the group pretty okay in aliveness.
