Why would you do a PVP event?

While everyone was getting hyped for this event these last couple of days, I was thinking why would ZOS do a PvP event when we all know the server cant keep up with it already? They where probs thinking "well we got no cp campaigns". Ahahahhaa these are always empty af cause almost no one wants them! Zos I dare you to go into a no cp campaign on ps4 and show me a clip of when you encountered more than 1 enemy over within 5 min there lol 
Pls tell me that we get to keep the new cp campaign cause that was finally a move in the right direction:)

April✭✭✭I don't understand why they did a straight PVP event instead of doing a cross PVE / PVP event to make everyone happy and keep from overloading the PVP servers... Just do events so that PVErs can do PVE stuff to get the rewards, and PVPers can do PVP stuff to get the same rewards... stop splitting them.Guild: Just Some Guild

✭I remember when CP first hit the PTS and Zos decided to run a pvp event on it... it lasted all of 20 minutes due to the number of crashes.
I guess they didn't learn from that. Or from the endless threads on how broken pvp can be.
Why they'd run a pvp event is beyond me, really.
The idea was a decent, and I was genuinely looking forward to it, but I knew that this would inevitably be the outcome.
What truly boggles is why Zos couldn't foresee this too!?!

✭✭Maybe it is just to make you realize that no matter how much the 'every day' PVP issues annoy you, it is still better than no PVP at all.
You'll be grateful to get back what had, even if it still a little broken.Australian on PS4 NA server.

why I mention it ? i love elder scroll i play it since beta but zos is pushing players like me away each time , they simply care about just selling crowns
AO - has fresh start queues in the 1st 3 days skyrocketed but u can log in and play , server is very stable , since eso has its new event - queues and server stability prevents me from playing it ;/
great job zenimax again, farmers flooded the server to suck new AP and after event they go away again and sell stuff
company with big capital cant manage simple thing while the newcomers do that with no hesitation with very limited resources at this time1 -

What exactly is a "cross PVE / PVP event"? Oh... you mean a PVE only event. Like literally all. the. other. events. ever......
I salute the fact ZOS finally have thrown PVP'ers a bone.

Has not done PvP in an long time and find I miss the chaotic fun.Grinding just make you go in circles.

As a pve/pvp player i have to say there were enough pve only events. Im ok with having a pvp focused event.1 -
