Elemental Succession Set, possible to build around?

I have been considering building around this set with a magicka DK or Sorc(warden doesnt have enough class ice damage abilities to be viable).

The idea is this using Magicka DK as an example:
Class flame abilities for fire mode
Ice staff abilities/ice comet ult for ice mode
Lightning Staff(charged for off balance so a boost to power lash) for lightning mode

Fire mode is easy enough with things like engulfing flames, fire whip, embers, etc

Lightning mode you apply the blockade of lightning with a charged staff, which ensures by the time it rotates back to fire mode your enemy will still be off balance for your power lash, you also use destructive clench after blockade, followed by maybe crushing shock/force pulse, it should take long enough it cycles to ice mode(might be better to apply blockade last to ensure it lasts through ice mode to fire mode.

Ice Mode you use destructive clench again followed by crushing shock and ideally Ice comet, also use ice mode for more heavy attacks if possible than the other modes.

Rinse and repeat as needed, light/heavy weaving as needed. Does this seem viable? I would like to try, but have never actually used this set. Is there a visual cue as to which mode you are on? If there is no visual cue I am sure such a rotation would be very difficult(I am sure it would be difficult to perfect anyway, but it would be even harder.

As a sorc it would be different, you wouldnt use a charged lightning staff and flame clench is significantly more useful than ice clench and shock clench since it has a DoT attached, which would give you at least one DoT per mode instead of 2/3

As a warden I guess you could rely strictly on Winter's revenge and northern storm ultimate interwoven with crushing shock and heavy/light attacks to make it work, this would also give you at least one DoT per mode.

Thoughts on this build? Elemental succession would also be an easy set to farm from nMA(more difficult for jewelry in vMA) 515 is a significant damage boost, is it worth the hassle of perfecting such a rotation? Suggestions for other sets to pair with it? Obviously this is virtually worthless in PvP, but PvE it is indeed tempting.

No.. the spell damage it grants isnt even that high to even worth consider rng for it.

You can run exactly what you are saying but just with a better set. Any set like BSW, scathing mage, spinners, netches, julianos.

    I would go with 5 julianos 3 infallible aether/Willpower and 2 llambris.

Inferno front bar lightening back bar would be the way to go.

The problem is BSW is 400ish spell damage these days, as is netch's touch, scathing mage is a 20% proc(which makes rng worse than elemental). I think if it is possible, that the staves would have to be Master staves to take advantage of the 500 spell dmg boost to destructive clench abilities(instead of Maelstrom staves, since the DoT from blockade will last through multiple phases whereas you would be using clench pretty much every phase. Gear would look something like this

Using Warden as a base(warden would probably be best just to avoid accidentally taunting on heavy attack, while sorc is probably the worst since he would be forced to use inferno and frost staves, losing out on the channeled heavy attack of a lightning staff, though slightly faster heavy attacks might make up for it)

    5 Piece Elemental Succession
3 Piece Wise Mage(to bump spell crit on both 2 and 3 piece bonus)
    2 Piece Illambris(for obvious reasons)
1 Master Inferno staff(Infused or Precise)
1 Master lightning staff(Infused or Precise)

You are right that scathing/netches/etc etc would likely be better....except this route may actually lead to viable DPS for the magicka Warden, where the other routes do not.
