Disappearing Nirnroot Xbox

My supply of nirnroot keeps disappearing. When I logged in this morning I had 41 in my bag. After farming for an hour or so, everything not just nirnroot, I now have 36. What is going on? I know at some point I had hundreds. I chalked it up to using it while making furniture. But now I know it's just vanishing.
Anyone else having this problem? I noticed a previous posting said it was happening with a patch, but there hasn't been one since last week.

    It just happened again, while I was dropping off my writs. -3 nirnroot. But earlier I was out farming.
    Please look into this ZOS.

    that was part of your writs there boss

    most the alchemy writs require 3 nirnroots

    One of my guildies just lost 3 turning in an alchemy writ. I must have been mistaken when I thought it was when I was farming too.
    Anybody else out there on Xbox please confirm.

    Oops, I bet your right. That sucks, I do writs on a lot af characters every day. That adds up.
    I wish they would change it up more, those things are expensive.
    I'll pay close attention tomorrow. Didn't notice because of craft bag, and having them prepared ahead in my pack.

    Top Tier Writs require either Cloud Mist or Nirnroot for the turn in. I don't think it ever asks for anything else besides the potion you have to make.

    Do what I do which is find a Nirn rich area and park a Mule or Alt there. Then you can log in to them each day, do a 5 minute farm and log out to your other characters. I know of a few areas that have several Nirn Nodes perfect for this.
    Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

    Thanks to you for helping my solve my problem. I leveled up one of my non crafter characters in alchemy, and found some more skill points. Now she farms for nirnroot and cloud mist!
