can we make eso plus worth more value?

sLaNtYibOsS
I have been an eso plus member for almost two years. Spending around 700.00 dollars. I noticed we have had anniversaries and events in Tamriel which was very nice. I my self took advantage of the xp bonus to level all slots. Solid idea! Next anniversary should probably be for your subscribers. It's just crowns right? Don't get me wrong I will continue to be a subscriber. I think it's worth it. But loyalty goes a long way. I'm just saying. So will you show us long timers some love or what?

There was a thread the other day with some ideas on what could be done to try and make it a little nicer.

The issue is you don't want to create a system like SWTOR where you're being very aggressive in forcing people to sub, but at the same time you need to create something where those paying the sub feel they're getting value.

One of the ideas in the other thread (not my idea) was to remove the costs for wayshrine travel for ESO+ members, meaning we an zoom around the game and wayshrines without eating at our gold.

It could be nice to actually have a bigger worth, since I subbed for additional things, not for 1.5k crowns a month (I have no use for them). CraftBag is very nice, but perhaps something more. Like a bigger XP boost. Or a randomized crown item for free every month to subscribers.

Love the crown crates!!! Thanks eso that's what I'm talking about!!! Now what about some inventory space for my home? How about a place I can hang up my gold gear that I may not be using? I would bet people would spend crowns on an armor dummy in there home. The ones like we have in shops in game. I'm crafty and would love to make a spot next to my crafting station that would allow me to display and hang up gear I'm not using. It would look great in my castle!! Just a bunch of cool armor sets displayed in a room. Adding inventory space will add value to these homes I promise! I'm sure sales are through the roof but will hit a glass ceiling eventually. Add this value to the homestead patch and I'm sure you will see more crowns being spent for homes!

Lol what is swtor? I do like the extras you get from eso plus, but there is really no incentive to keep on paying for it. People are fickle when there is glitches and lag. If your paying for a product you expect it to work 100%. It may not be a realistic expectation, but it's true. one free mount here and there would keep people happy. An increase in crowns every year as well. I'm not saying give away the house! I'm just saying little things are what count. It is virtual currency compared to real dollars any ways.

One feature I like very much about ESO+ is not fretting over new content as it becomes available. I confess my loyalty was severely shaken when MW was announced. Are you kidding? Parse and rename differing types of Downloadable Content (DLC) so some of it is not included with ESO+?

I'm not alone in believing that one advantage of + was that I would receive all new content without worry. Just as I believe that charging + members for 'Chapters' caused a loss of confidence in ESO+, providing such content as part of ESO+ would restore and build loyalty.

How about a sizable discount in the crown store?

Make + more attractive rather than gouging prices in the crown store. I mean the prices behind Televanni furniture is pure poppycock.

I can understand the dichotomy for ZoS. They are running a business - they don't want to give everything away, they do want more subscribers, they don't want to put off non-subscribers.

Someone here suggested a discount in the Crown Store. I think that's a great idea, and I'd go one further: how about discounted Crown purchase? It doesn't have to be huge, but if I could buy 5,500 Crowns for a 20% discount, I'd buy a load more than I do today.

Another idea that I like is to tip certain elements of RNG in our favour. That could be as basic as better/more items from daily crafting scamp deliveries, but it could also apply to chests, or any any source of loot as far up the tree as it's comfortable to go.

Until Morrowind came out, I felt the value was just right. You knew you'd get all DLC for the year with your sub. Now that you need to dish out $40+ on top of the annual sub fee, it's become less worthwhile for me (I've cancelled my sub as a result).

Value for me would have to be something monetary like that and not just more convenience.

Honnestly, for me as a Master Crafter, its worth it for the Crafting Bag alone. And i'm a gear hoarded if I drop good traits, so the double bank space. The rest is surplus for me.

The only DLC I keep playing is IC and I bought it. Orsinium is my fave zone but don't really go back too much now. The others are Meh.

So yea more stuff is always cool, but I think in value terms for QoL - Bag and Bank make it.

The only way ESO Plus could have enough value is if subscribers get to play with the pre-Morrowind sustain and class-nerf changes.

I disagree, some new sets that look op. 2 new dungeons keep me enticed enough to keep on raiding! Pvp will have an xp celebration out. Lots of things to look forward to.

Man you people just have this ridiculous level of self-entitlement always wanting more more more.

ESO+ is a good value as it is and they have added more to it. How much more can they add before you people are happy? The fact that you pay a sub and either get no in-game cash shop currency or maybe it's $5 worth but here they give you the full $15 worth on top of access to DLC, increased gains, craft bag, double bank space, more housing items that you can place and yet you still want more?

Go play games with mandatory subs and you get none of that. Other F2P/B2P give you a lot less as well. Unlimited craft bag, double bank space and the full $15 worth of crowns alone make this more than worth while.

That is all well and good, but with items in the crown store costing more crowns, the 1500 free crowns aren't as valuable as they were. I still sub and will continue to do so until I feel any value is completely gone. Arguing that someone is full of self entitlement is pretty rediculas, value is subjective. You can't tell another person what his/her value threshold should be, it doesn't work that way.

Some people felt jilted with Morrowwind being rebranded as a chapter, so to them it's real. We can debate if it is or isnt, but that won't change their minds. Motifs, mount's and such have all increased in price, call it inflation. But no cost of living raise doesn't make inflation feel any better. Sure the bank space was nice, but is it the end all to beat all? Imo the extra housing limit is still to small, the crowns are nice but not a lot to spend them on, as most things are being put into crates. For me it isn't about the crowns though, so the bag and bank space is the main reason I sub. But this doesnt hold true for everyone.

The other sub MMO I play has about 300 mounts and a huge library of appearance options all obtainable in game. In my opinion if youre paying a sub you should get access to a full game including cosmetic rewards. In ESO you pay for the box, you pay a sub, you pay for 'expansions' and on top of that they still get to nickel and dime you on stuff that is being intentionally left out of the game.

Their rule of thumb has been that ESO+ subscribers get extra convenience that doesn't affect gameplay balance. Off the top of my head, I can think of a few things that would lure more people to subscribe and give it that extra value.

    For ESO+ accounts:
    1. Unlimited furnishing slots. Let them decorate at their own peril.
    2. Double the number of guests allowed in player houses.
    3. Additional customization options in the character creator (hair length, nose position, etc).
    4. Additional Guild Slot.
