How to Skip...

Vivec's annoying Morrowind intro screen.

Yes, I know "It is written.." you murderous, traitorous, pompous self-declared God.
I grow tired of having to "press any key to skip".
ZoS can you please add a "Skip all intro-content" function?

It's quite easy. First shut your launcher and game.
    Go to Documents/Elder Scrolls Online/live(or liveeu)/UserSettings
Locate UserSettings.txt and select it. (Hit ctrl-c then ctrl-v to duplicate a backup copy there just in case.)
Open it with Notepad. Find (ctrl-f) the line: SET SkipPregameVideos "0" and change the "0" to "1" and then save.
    All done!

Alternatively you can do what I always do. I usually hope for the best.

Thats already set to 1, and the file was also set to read only so that the executable cannot change any of my settings.
All videos skip by default, its the "Press any key to skip" Morrowind specific intro that I want to skip entirely.
Thank you for your feedback though.

Unmark it as "Read only", watch the video, that should do the trick.

Turn off "read only" on your user settings file. :)

    Login and watch it.

Then turn "read only" back on after it gets logged.

That doesn't work for the cinematic intros, only the engine ads at the start.

True enough, after disabling the read-only attribute, the game added the following two lines:

    SET HighestChapterOpeningCinematicSeen "1"
    SET ChapterUpgradeSeenVersion "-1"

Adding these to a backup copy of my original UserSettings.txt file resolved the morrowind opening sequence.

Thanks again for the advice.
