Underdog of Magicka classes

Whenever we talk of Magicka classes it will be "how broken Mag Sorcs are" or "how weak Mag NBs are" or "how annoying Mag Plars are in PVP" or "how Mag Warden sucks in dmg in PVE"

But I have not seen that much commotion or even a honorable mention of Mag DKs in forums.

Yesterday I did create my first Mag DK Dunmer and leveled him upto 10.

Honestly speaking it is really fricking fun.

The animations are awesome (the dragon spike thingy + whip ) and the damage is at par with my Mag Sorc (granted I dont have that much experience with him either).

Even at level 10, I have a couple of morphs on my spells (the obsidian shield (stun/heal) + flamedotheal) that fully tops me up.

For a solo non-PVP player like me, questing/leveling is the end game itself and if this Mag DK serves the job then why not ? :)

Or is it one of those classes which start out strong and but eventually peter out ???

MagDK does the job. Strong DPS, grab, fire dps bonus, magicka shield. Good for trials

Actually the Magic Dragon Knights rock. Wouldn't call them underdogs though.

I main a MagDK. It's the most fun class in my opinion. My damage is pretty great as well, especially when I have a good tank and healer in the group. I have all mag classes except nightblade, but I rarely play them. Nothing else hits the spot for me

MagDK is a solid DPS class. It's not magsorc, but it's definitely not an "underdog" either.

The only true underdog magicka class is warden.

MagDK is mostly fine in PvP—it's just useless in group play. Really annoying that I have to spec it to a rapids build to even feel useful.

With all due respect, there are no magicka classes in ESO. There are also no stamina classes in ESO. Magicka and stamina are resource pools and preferred play styles. Hybrid is also a preferred play style, although not a popular one in this game.

The only ESO classes are Dragonknight, Sorcerer, Nightblade, Templar and Warden. All five classes can use either play style (or hybrid), and many players create both a stamina-based and a magicka-based character of each class.

I don't post this to be difficult, but only for accuracy. Not everyone reading these forums will be familiar with the fact that any class can be played as a magicka-based, stamina-based or hybrid character. Not always, but in general magicka tends toward a ranged play style, stamina toward melee, and hybrid toward tanking.
