Actually, I was shorted 3 crates. One account got 3, the other 4. Both accounts were logged in (and played) every day of the promotion.

Anybody else get less than expected?

I got my 5 crates. Unfortunately, all I got was garbage. Nix-Hound pet, dwarven puzzle orb memento and guess what? More female stuff that my male characters won't wear. Sadly, they won't let us extract gems from garbage.

Got a reply to my ticket, and this was in there:

"You must have logged in between 12:00am EDT and 11:59pm EDT (Eastern) on each day of the event.

Eligibility was calculated based on log ins, not log outs. Logging in on one day and logging out on a different day only counted towards the day the log in occurred.
    "

What the hell is this ZOS? 12:00am EDT is 6 PM CEST which is the timezone for a lot of people in Europe, give or take 1-2 hours. So you mean to tell me that if you logged in before 6 PM in Europe it doesn't count towards the day? Or if you logged in before 6 PM, stayed on for the rest of the day and didn't log out and back in once, it doesn't qualify towards the new day either?

None of this was stated in the official announcement for the event. Very shady.

Nevermind it was in the annoucement, I didn't read over properly which is my bad. Still salty.

My partner was not an ESO+ member before the event. She got the free trial, used it, then on the last day did purchase a full ESO+ recurring membership. According to the article:

"If you are not an ESO Plus member, you can enjoy a free trial of the service for the duration of the event to see what it is all about. For more details, see below. If you decide to purchase a full ESO Plus membership, you still earn free Crown Crates for each day you are logged in as a member!"

So, since she did log in "as a trial member" AND did in fact purchase the ESO+ membership during the event, wasn't she entitled to 5 of the crown crates? I thought I remember a staff member (Richard?) post saying that if you logged in on the trial each day it counted only if you joined with a paid membership during the event in the forums as well, but am not having luck finding it.

She might not get any. If she got it on the last day before it ended she could have received one. If she got eso+ on the first then she would have the crates. You needed paid eso+ and log in each day to get a crate is how I interpreted it.

Many people read it as "If you login each day and purchase a ESO+ before the end of the event you'd get the 5 crates which was 50% of the reason to buy the membership... so to change that now would be a Bait and Switch which is illegal in most states. If they care about their customers they will honor what they originally implied by Richard.

I've been an ESO+ member for about 2 years or so? My ESO+ expired during the event and I used the Crown Store ESO+ thingie for one day, then renewed my ESO+.

I was logged in for several hours daily during the event. I usually play for 6-10 hours daily.

I received 0, nill, null, noll, rien; no Crown Crates whatsoever.

Now I'm not greedy, but it feels a little bit sad.

    :disappointed:

A FREE trial is NOT a paid membership.

    It's not hard.

No PAID membership NO free crates.

If she purchased ESO+ on the last day and logged on she's only entitled to 1 crate.

You don't get them for simply trialing it.

The trial was for non-members. The crates were for members.

Not everybody read the announcement the same way because of various levels of English knowledge. Its not a primary language for everybody.
Also, the punctuation was deceptive on that announcement and it was never further clarified despite numerous topics on confusion about this subject.
So its understandable that people read it differently from how the announcement was intended.
So yelling at people for misunderstanding is counterproductive and mean.
