Also what's with that "console pleb" whisper, makes no sense whatsoever...
he used inner fire..from the undaunted line. It doesn't require a specific weapon...
And Im not sure what the deal is with console pleb. Its the first time Ive ever had it thrown at me lol. I have heard of console peasants but only on the forums.
Ah ok, with him being a cp 90 something I just assumed he didn't know/use inner fire.
Totally random especially with that guy being a console player too.

What an interesting thread! I know this may read as a bit disdainful but ... I kind of feel sorry for you. Let me explain; I believe you made a honest mistake in your original posting in calling yourself an elitist rather than an elite. Though you probably did not realize both can (or will - depending on the reader) be interpreted negatively;It is easy to see why people can get upset when someone professes to be either. Another reason some people seem to have become upset in the thread is that you were seemingly being something of a;
- Elite: a select group that is superior in terms of ability or qualities to the rest of a group or society.
- Elitist: relating to or supporting the view that a society or system should be led by an elite.
It's all about perception and how some people may have seen you as trying to be superior to them in a rather negative manner.
- Braggart: a person who boasts about their achievements or possessions
That written and out of the way I can continue more positively.
Your disclaimer shows how you recognize the perception problem and has a humble apology which is good. Maybe 'elite' or 'elitist' are not good words to use and 'competitive player' comes across as less arrogant.
As much as some may see your original post (especially pre-disclaimer) as bragging, I suspect this was not your intent.
I play almost exclusively PVE as I can enjoy doing so at my own pace. I have neurological issues that intermittently affect my coordination,fine motor control and response times and these can, and do, slow me down in game*. Content as you describe is not really my thing anyway!
It was good to read how you helped another player out (although I would not have used terms like 'drug' or 'carried'). Kicking the other player by vote was, in my view, reasonable under the circumstances. Although I'm sure the kicked player was unhappy, I'm also sure I would have been very happy had I been the kept and supported player.
Yes! I can see how some may find your OP as offensive. I do not though. In fact it heartens me to see such higher level players prepared to help out those at a lower level or those that may not be so experienced in the game (having few or no higher level alts). You can only take my word for it but I have seen, in other games, the massive detrimental effect elitism can have on the general player base or community. Good on you for showing that, although it seems contradictory, not all elites are elitist.
*I'm not looking for sympathy, empathy or invites to do other content with friendly groups as I really do enjoy bimbling along in PVE
EDIT: Miner spellink and tidy up.

The guy queuing as a (fake) tank was not ready for his role, did not fulfil his role (getting one shotted over and over) and did not want to use a S&B as he was a 2H DPSer. He was lucky you two showed up that's all.
