Has anyone opened up the Crown Crate UI to see if they are already there? Swore I saw someone say they are already available. Not an ESO+ member so can't test myself.

OP wanted to know when they would get thier Crown Crates. Then, changed thread name when they got them. Making all subsequent posts seem weird.

I've just finished opening all 5 of my reward crates...

Let me just say, I have never bought a single one before, as I'm relatively new and the YT openings I've watched didn't sell me on them.
I figured, hey, they're free so I can't lose, right?
I got 2 duplicates out of the lot, which transferred into 10 crown gems, a strider pet I'll probably never use, a bunch of throw away potions that aren't very important to my PvE experience, a dwarven puzzle orb (meh) and the Ordinator costume which isn't something I'm geeked for either. The only things I got that I think were relevant were two experience scrolls for 50% EXP/2 hours and two mount lessons which I've already burned.

I'm not sure what ZoS was doing here other than hurting themselves to be completely honest? I've thought about buying some crates, but after these freebies, I'm not sure I ever will.
I'm glad I was able to experience the crates, but I don't feel they are worth spending crowns on personally. I'd rather save my crowns and get things I'd like to have....at least they were free.
What was the purpose of this gifting? Are they collecting data for potential drop rate adjustments?
It's basically turned me off entirely tbh

if you think that you will not use the potions, just transform them in more purple crown gems, in fact anything still in your inventory from the crate can be transformed in purple crown gems and you can then check if you can buy with them something you like.

Sometimes for 40 of those you can get a fun pet, or hair, as well as for 16 of those if you dont like the riding things that cost each 5 crown purple gems

A lot of stuff in a crate wont convert into gems.

what you can not convert is immediatly converted by the game itself if you already know the costume, mount, pet, hair, disguise.
But all potions, scrolls, motifs, crown soul, mimic stones, mount riding or stamina or capacity, that you obtained by opening a crate can be converted.
