War Maiden vs Julianos vs others - magblade front bar damage set (PvP Theorycrafting)

So I've been experiencing with other 5/5/2 destro resto magblade builds, taking a break from my usual max magicka setups that I've been running for as long as I can remember. Idea behind it is taken from @NightbladeMechanics' second to last video on youtube, with some set adjustments and the likes. I've been having great success with it, though I keep wondering if I can maybe push it a bit further.

I haven't tried light Julianos, but I assume it would, theoretically, outperform War Maiden, seeing how it does not only boost my skills but also the light attacks and the heals (of which there are plenty). Are there any other suggestions some of you fellow seasoned magblades have? I can't think of any other front bar damage sets for the love of me. Maybe spinners?

Well you're probably not going 5-5-2 with a staff, but either way...

Scathing mage is equivalent to Julianos come next patch. Uptime will probably be higher next patch without sacrificing damage. Spinners will be objectively good next patch especially because penetration will be harder to get from weapons. You could run precise or sharpened staves.

Personally I've had a lot of good come from mother's sorrow even now. It doesn't perform all that well atm but come next patch it's 55% stronger overall, meaning I can run shadow next time without thief. Sharpened staves with a focus on crit damage and penetration next patch will go a long way.

Yeah warmaidens isn't like automaton because it doesn't help with light weave. Which they made a straight magic damage staff (mysticism/illusion/alteration staff pls) and then it'd be okay.

    I've been playing this build for 1 week now, I think I would've noticed it I wasn't going 5/5/2 with a staff.

I forgot to mention that I was talking about PVP (should've been relatively obvious though, as I mentioned I got inspired from Kena, a PVPer). Thanks for the insight though!

I mean you'd only have 11 slots then? 3 jewelry, 7 armor pieces, and a staff. That just isn't adding up to me. Sorry about the mistake with pvp though

2 monster sets, 5 piece active only on front bar, 5 piece active on back bar. It's usually an offensive set on main bar and a defensive set or a buff set with a relatively long lasting buff on backbar. Also, no problem man, we're all brothers in arms here!
