Velyn Harbour alternatives

Don't get me wrong love the place, wayshrine a wee bit away from the centre of the place and everything I need in close proximity from there, you know bank etc. so its better than the basic small towns... thing is though I'm in DF now and thought I'd find something while exploring but I've been everywhere and either missed a similar type of location or it doesn't exist, anyone know if there is a location like it in DF?

Rawl'kha in Reaper's March, Riften in Rift, Mournhold in Deshaan are commonly viewed as best crafting/stuff hubs. DC seems to be lacking good ones I think. You could just ask someone to port you to one of these, you'd be able to take advantage of all the things even without belong to that alliance or doing the place's quest.

makes sense...with one tamriel it shouldn't really matter what alliance you are in...fast travel (use guild roster) to the zone and complete the velyn harbor quest on each character...

getting ready to set up shop in velyn harbor myself, rawl'kha gets a little crowded at times...

Not really into traveling outside my alliance, like to use characters meant for each one and keep to my zone.

Right now my "home town" in Daggerfall is aldcroft, layed out very nice never too busy so no lag or people duelling etc. but no bank or crafting writs means I go there to my deconstructing and then have to go to a city for the other stuff, bit of a pain.

Yeah that's best I've found but was hoping for something with an open layout like velyn harbour

Think I'm gonna check out that riften place, got a quest there so it must be a DLC zone and not part of the other two alliances, will head there now.

Riften is EP but far as DLCs go I think Wrothgar in Orsinium is not too bad.

I would think Shornhelm probably has the most convenient accommodations in Daggerfall.

I assume you mean within the Daggerfall Covenant (DC), and not just the city of Daggerfall or the zone of Glenumbra (where the city of Daggerfall is). That being said, the city of Daggerfall actually isn't that bad in terms of everything's location. From what I remember (I'm only EP right now, so just pass through Daggerfall on various quests/when I need to decon/ sell stuff and am in that zone), everything is located fairly close together. As others have mentioned, Shornhelm within the zone of Rivenspire is also a good place to go, though perhaps more busy than Velyn Harbor because of the zone being the only place people can farm Necropotence armor.

I would not suggest Wayrest for this, as things there are considerably further apart. While the enchanting table and alchemy station are both in the same building, it's halfway across the town from your equipment stations, and both are almost halfway across town from the bank. It -is- the only place in DC to reset your stats or collect Undaunted/Mage/Fighter dailies and pledges, and the guild traders there are allegedly some of the best in DC, but that's about all I'd recommend it for.

You could try Betnikh... Alas there is no stable there.

Just checked out Wrothgar and not a fan, entering a door to get to blacksmith station, no thanks.

Off to find Betnikh see how that is as no stable isn't really a problem.
