Yup, but you don't have to put a point in it, do you?

No, it's just weird that Argonians don't learn how to swim until they turn 5.

Yes. So many people are 630 years old
Can't wait the 20 Minutes or so it takes to get to level 5? Also I can never remember thinking about passive at that point anyway. First priority was always filling 5 ability slots for me.

I think Argonians still swim fast from the start, but it has been nearly 2 months since I rolled an argonian so memory could be tainted. It is part of the passive that was always with us from creation of the character.

Now, you have to find or acquire a skill before it pops up on your character screen. After finally getting my free character slot back (again, thank you Zen/ZOS/dev or whoever that power may be for finally emplacing that back), I recently created a new toon and was dumbfounded for a few on the emptiness on my character skill screen. I thought, oh man, another freaking bug.. sheesh, but then as continued playtime rolls on, I started getting skills/passives popping up. That's when I realize the change that you have to find and acquire those. Yes, I was also dumbfounded (initially) about the missing racial passive, until it popped up when I reached level 5.
Ehh, not a bad change. Would be nice if I knew about these changes beforehand, though. I don't know.. was there a piece about this on ZOS's posting or something somewhere?

Why is that, why aren't they available from as soon as you exit the Wailing Prison? It's not like everyone is some formless amoeba, and you're only officially racially designated when you get to level 5. You are of that race as soon as you're born.

Why is this a problem? You can hit level 10 in like 30 minutes.
