Transmogrification

Dear ZOS

Please give us an option to alter the appearance of our weapons and armor for a fee. Also add an wardrobe/collection where we can "save" the appearance of gear we have either learned from motifs or through items bound to our account. I think this game allows us a lot of player customisation when we create and build our character, so it is a bit confusing that we can do the same with the gear we are wearing. I am aware that there are uniforms and such, but this is far from what "transmogrification" would allow us to do. People who play RPG-MMOs do love character customisation and also love to decide how their character looks like and what they are actually wearing. It is one of the things that people do really fancy in such games. It should not be so difficult to create such a feature since a similar system exists already by transforming items into imperial or morag tong style. In my opinion we should be able to change the appearance of all items we use under the restriction that you can't change a light armour piece to appear as a heavy armour piece etc. The same should apply to weapons. A 2H sword should only be changed into a weapon of the same type!

I am sure, I am not the first one to address this topic! It is a very important topic and therefore should be noticed by developers. By posting about this topic, I hope that our voices are finally heard! I mean the devs did listen when we wanted player housing. Why shouldn't the same happen for changing the appearance of gear! It will definitely be an improvement in the right direction. ESO is a game that still has a lot of potential and that it still thriving after so many years. These "small" kind of changes lead to a greater gaming experience we all wish for and desire!

The most funny thing, that me, as an Imperial edition owner, able to convert any item to the Imperial style.
Any, but not dungeon and trials gear (90% of my gear).
    LOL.

    • Animation canceR - is true PvP cancer! When you can't see which actions your opponent do - you can't react properly on them!

    LOL.

They do this cause items have "stories" behind them or are only found in certain areas so they should only have be in certain motiffs.

That being said I think anything should be changeable and even "recraftable" to change the motiff design for 9 trait crafters.

All we need is an appearance tab that allows for equipping all crafted/looted gear and cosmetics. No system is needed beyond that.

Zos ha saldsady stated they are looking at adding the ability to restyle gear (dislike WoW terminology). How they bring it about is guesswork at this point. I doubt even Zos knows ATM.

And yes, this topic is brought up multiple times a week.

Yeah I am glad that it is now a work in progress! It would be nice if ZOS would be sharing the way they intend to implement it, so we players can add our own idea about this topic at this point. So we get a system that works more or less for all of us!

I'm hoping they make a 9 trait system that amounts to recrafting (motif, mats, etc) to do that on both crafted and dropped gear, you can do in a trade window near a crafting station so that crafters finally have a reason to craft. ADDITIONALLY they make a crown system that is similar to the imperial and Morrowind converter but works on everything and bounds it to your account.

You level crafting, you can sell services, but it in the crown store it just makes it available for your convenience.

Sounds like a sound idea! Being able to "RECRAFT" ALL kinds of gear into a style, motif, whatsoever should be enabled!

Just a reminder? Three years ago Zos announced spellcrafting. Before them they suggested they thought jewelrycrafting would be something they'd look in.

Basically. It may be awhile and our threads done seem to speed up the process. Just FYI.

Think its an technical reason, as its now the imperial transform is less useful than an green defensive necropotente bow.

Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.
