This isn't an overreaction - this is the truth - it is what it is. Choosing to ignore it only continues to harm the game. People like yourself are contributing to the problem by ignoring it.

Your perception of the truth. How you see what is. Difference.

Labeling people that don't agree with your OPINION as 'part of the problem' is not an effective communication strategy.

I always used path as an AOE on my magblade and never had a problem doing 30-50k with my standard rotation wearing crafted sets and Iceheart of all things.

I guess it pays not to chase the meta. Just setting yourself up for disappointment when the fad/exploit inevitably gets nerfed.

It is obvious you're frustrated. But like all things, it'll pass. Next time you're having fun, you probably won't even remember this moment.

But I get it. Everyone needs a good rant now and again. ;)

@Scyantific you still don't get boosted light/heavy attacks, ults and wall of elements. That's like 30% of your damage. If you aren't going to use those then you're obviously not shooting for end game dps at which point it won't really matter what you use - everything works just fine.

@DRXHarbinger specifically said he wouldn't be using WOE or Destruction Staff Ult because he's using Master Architect for the Major Slayer buff with the uptime being near 100% because of Soul Harvest. So the light attacks would be ~10% of his DPS.

I am so glad that someone understands. People really need to stop bleeting like sheep meta this and that they don't understand. I can pull 40k dps on a magdk using silks, TBS and a master inferno, no wall of elements, no monster set, no meta nothing. Just because people having spammed it on YouTube does not mean it's no good and just because some people actually are just plain gods at ani cancelling does not mean their gear is the best up.

You don't understand. The meta is the meta for a reason. It's been mathematically tested in theory and practice. Noone says you can't do well with your own build, but it won't ever be nearly as good as the meta.

The meta is only good in the meta players who can master their rotation. Just because the pros pull 45k doesn't mean you will just for having the gear with *** all idea.

But cool story. Stop trying to appear like a pro.

Of course it's only the best in the hands of people who handle it equally well. Really all you're saying here is that your skill is not up to par to run a meta build. But that's none of my business.

What on earth do people have... Look at the current leaderboards, do you only see sorcs there? No. Not at all.

So you lost 50 spell damage, big deal. They buffed crit, out of which magblades and magplars get the most use out of, so what on earth are you complaining about. The current patch buffed those two classes in particular.

ZoS has now officially admitted to killing off Twisting Path. It's the final nail in the coffin for magblades, who were finally starting to come back. Here's the proof:
    ZOS_KNowak wrote: »

Twisting Path was never intended to be a "direct damage" attack - it should be considered a "damage over time" attack (much like other area of effect ticking abilities such as Wall of Elements or Ash Cloud). This first PTS build has a partial fix to its behavior, and a later PTS build will have the full fix for it (and the accompanying patch note).

We are also investigating better ways to communicate what is a "direct damage" attack versus a "damage over time" attack (along with other tooltip terms such as "melee" attack), so that it is more clear how certain Item Set procs interact with certain abilities.

Goodbye magicka Nightblades. The life support from Scathing Mage was sufficient while it lasted, lol. With the destruction of sustain to struggling classes like DK and Templar (along with losing its class-defining buff, Major Mending), and then you consider the ridiculously weak nature of Warden's DPS, ZoS' message is quite clear to the rest of the community:
    "GO SORC OR GTFO"

There are no other choices anymore. Grab a lightning staff, get your Necropotence set, and hold down the attack button.

EDIT: There seems to be a lot of people on this thread mentioning Cyrodiil. This is not concerned with Cyrodiil as the topic of this thread is about a change on the PTS that affects a class' PvE performance.

Serious?!? You can't possibly say you didn't know it wasn't working as intended, twisting patch was broken and they've fixed it. It'll still proc scathing on the first hit but the fact that every tick could proc it was an exploit.

Ridiculously weak nature of warden's dps? My stam warden is now out dps'ing my stam sorc. Instead of qqing on the forums spend more time playing classes and learning to make them work without relying on broken sets.

So they will switch to Julianos now like every other class is using. Silly how a crafted set will outperform some of the hardest to grind sets in the game.

It will take a new player much much much longer before he's able to craft Julianos, than he is to get whatever else is BiS together!

Being able to craft Julianos is a huge investment in time and dedication.. why should that not be allowed to be use/compare-able to a PvE grind set!

You know there's different kinds of players in this game... those that love PvE, those that love Questing, those that like PvP, those that like Trials, those that like Crafting, ... don't be selfish and expect the entire game to be build around YOUR playstyle!

It takes long to get a set of Julianos? Most crafters do it for 5k tip at most if you provide the mats.
