Noob Question: Alliance Change?

Hi everyone,
Im assuming this has been asked here around 3000 times but I was just wondering if there was ever a response from ZOS in regards to being able to change your alliance?
I personally think changing your race is a bit more unrealistic than changing your alliance lore wise lol
I say this because I dont have time due to real world commitments to make a whole new magicka based character

I know Im not the only person facing this struggle and just want to play on the same alliance as my friends. I basically had a Dunmer DK and was like for lore and roleplay he has to be in the Eboheart Pact but this guy was made like over a year ago. The struggle to get a new character up is wayyy too real.
So anything from ZOS?

My thinking is that if you can buy alliance change, you wont make new characters which will hurt their character slot market.
Also players will spend less time on the game as they wont be mindlessly grinding.
Thats probably why we dont have it atm0 -
