The problem is not the ultimate by itself, it is combining Vicious Death, Proxy det and other magic night blade skills that make it especially deadly in PvP.
These items were meant to be zerg busters, but multiple destro ult zerg trains evolved.

Agreed. That which busts zergs can also create them. I have a buddy that when running with a large group will cast proxy det then right before it procs, starts his eye of storm, streaks into the middle of the group, and spams pulsar. His grothdar and vicious death procs and he'll kill 20 people in seconds. When used to defend a keep it seems noble enough to do that but when taking a keep he'll get hate messages sent to him. I think it's hilarious when it works just right but that's a good example of the ways a zerg buster becomes the engine on a zerg train

They need to nerf gap closer snare spam. That will already make it a lot more bearable.

Agree with this. Hell, they should put in a minimum distance that a gap closer can be used at to stop Teleport Strike being spammed while in your face.

Critical Rush has a minimum distance, guess what, all the macro cheaters are using Critical Rush to auto gap close when the enemy players move out of minimum range.

Minimum distance check is on client side...

In PvE it is not a problem.. in PvP a single destro ulti is also not that big of a deal...

The problem lies in the fact it stacks.... to infinity and beyond...
If you have like 10 - 15 people using it and spamming other aoe - no armour or shield will help you.. In some cases you don't even have a chance to react... and another thing that is simply broken is that when someone activates destro ulti and goes to stealth - the big red circle also dispersers.... add some CC to the mix and CC immunity (Immovability potions) and you can pretty much run through whole cyrodiil, capturing castle/keep/fort one after another until you will get bored or something....

YUP! I can't for the life of me understand why of all the senseless nerfs and balance changes ZOS has not addressed this. There are EOTS groups in cyrodil that cap resources, hide in towers and then run 5-6 EOTS trains simultaneously when people try to recap the resource. I have seen those groups melt down wave after wave of attacker with this BS. At a bare minimum EOTS should not stack. People saying don't stand in the red have no idea what they are talking about.
Why did the Dunmer cross the road?
Apparently to get stuck in an eternal load screen!

Please allow running through a negate to end it.

Yes a negate should negate it.

This I completely agree with. A negate, especially an ultimate negate should do it's job. An ultimate should be powerful and many ultimates stacked should be even more powerful but there should be a functional counter to it. Maybe make the morphs for negate like the destro ulti: One is in a set location and lasts longer, the other follows the player with a shorter duration. If that were a thing the use of the ultimate would still be viable and used a lot but the ulti stacking zerg would be tamed quite a bit and might fall to the wayside.
