Really? You can't fix other crap in this game but you've got time to fix a lantern that you think is burning a bit too brightly?
The only reason I got the dang lanterns is b/c they are so bright and lit up my crafting area nicely. Now you've ruined it!

I remember hearing how they used to be darker and red, I think. The bright glowing I believe was a bug. And this current change was to revert them back to how they used to be.

Cool, you can get the same effect with daedric lighting and the red glow is rare so the fix was needed0 -
lasertooth✭✭✭✭✭Why is the housing/furniture dept as zos so messed up?!?! Dear zos,
1.) If you release it, leave it alone. Because the housing peeps like me, we looks at a house or item and we decides if we likes it.
2.) AND IF we likes it, we buy it for outrageous prices.
Then you change it and/or "fix" it, and it leads to only grief.
Just leave our houses and furniture alone. Stop "fixing" stuff we don't even care about; just give us more furnishing slots. If a furniture item is defected, just ctrl-copy it, fix it, and give it a new name.
Or just give us more furniture slots. The only reason I'm bored perusing the forums is coz im at 697/700 items and I'm bored. If I had more slots, I'd be able to decorate the front half of my earthtear cave,

✭i bought the lantern and placed them when housing 1st came out and love the red glow - it is perfect for where i have it placed
however i also loved it when it bugged and became a crazy burning lantern of awesomeness (just now where i had it placed)
so i love this suggestion in your ranting @lasertooth 'just ctrl-copy it, fix it, and give it a new name'
keep everyone happy - its only a furnishing item - it has no effect on combat - im sure there are plaenty of other items theat have been changed too or could be changed - and we all know how much zos love re-skinning things!0
