    Many moons ago I was a player moderator for another game - both in game and in forums. I thought I had a ban hammer but compared to the one shown here it was more like a ban stick and my mute stick back then seems more like a mute twig now!

    Read your ToS kids, if there is one thing a company will enforce more than anything it's impersonating their name.

    I've played a number of games where doing this is a perma-ban with no appeal.

    its not like i wouldnt agree on that, its against the tos. but also its some kind of a stupid kiddyo joke. no problems with a punishment, but it would really make me leave wondering, when its a perma ban then, while we deal each day with worse problems in game :)

    The number 1 indication for me that something official is fake is if the sender is an illiterate. All those spelling mistakes, wtf.

    But how did they get to use "Zenimax_Online" in their account name in the first place? Shouldn't this be blocked from being used in case of frauds like this?

    I've played a number of games where doing this is a perma-ban with no appeal.

    its not like i wouldnt agree on that, its against the tos. but also its some kind of a stupid kiddyo joke. no problems with a punishment, but it would really make me leave wondering, when its a perma ban then, while we deal each day with worse problems in game :)

    I would say that a perma ban is way too severe for this. If the letter had directed the receiver to a fake Zenimax website to get hacked or something like that then I would say a permanent ban was in order. But this doesn't seem to be anything malicious. Just someone having a bit of fun.

    It's appropriate... for all you know, the next message from the guy would be trying to con people into giving stuff or going to a website to enter credentials, or to pay for a 1 off fee to "clear" their account.

    Don't do the crime if you can't do the time!

    i do, i just wish, gina was able to answer some more serious issues in forums. sure, if she gets nothing from the zos team, there might be nothing she can answer on...but stilll...it feels weird, seeing all those threads, also me having an issue (bots/goldsellers) i am expecting an answer on and then seeing zos staff posting funpics... it well feels weird :)
