Returning your Home Scroll could be bit more rewarding

Tonight in Shor we were laying siege to Rayles and I managed to ninja the Scroll of Chim from the Pedestal, then made more or less a beeline for the Temple. Completely thankful for my Escorts, all my gear is Infused/Divines save for my Monster Helm being Crit Resist, so I'm a VERY squishy Stamblade, but with their help I managed to survive two attempted Gankings, (narrowly survived a Destro Ult Bomber..) and an AD Intercept at Chalman before finally getting back to the Chim Gate. The whole process is incredibly tedious and the players following along were awesome, so it feels like returning the Scroll back should give more of a lucrative Reward. I don't know if I got a chunk of AP or not, wasn't paying attention.

But yeah, thanks to those who lent their protection the whole way. That trek from Rayles all the way to Chim was long. Though I'm sure the Scroll will be taken again by tomorrow..

AP for scroll returns is done via the quests for them, IIRC it's the highest AP payout from a quest.

The scrolls over all could do with something a bit more interesting about them, rather than just "these are those things we take at 2am so we start the day with 10% more damage".

Yes I agree that there should be a much greater reward for getting and holding the scrolls. This is the "Elder Scrolls" afterall - we should be fighting tooth and nail to get the scrolls. They should be a higher priority than taking keeps. Taking keeps should only be a means to get to the scrolls.

Returning Scrolls, not holding them. If the game rewards you for just carrying a Scroll then all people will do is take one, find a place to hole up and then just farm all the attackers in their kitty corner of the map with their groups.

Maybe ZOS could add a "royal Crown". Only 1 per map, it can't be taken inside a keep nor home base. While your group has it, your group earns extra AP per kill. Or whatever.

Honestly I was shocked when I first ran a scroll home and there wasn't an achievement. I get why there isn't, but it really seems like there should be.

Perhaps I am misreading this, but it seems like your are suggesting that the achievement doesn't exist because it is either too difficult or too easy.

There is an achievement for being in first place on your faction and beating back two alliances to control 6 heavily contested keeps, and since accomplishing this feat gives you OP stats and buffs as well as resulting in huge amounts of server lag to remove your godlike power... neither enemy faction wants to let you have it.

I'm pretty sure there are also achievements for capturing a resource.

So I'm actually pretty confused why delivering a scroll isn't an achievement since it falls cleanly in between these two in terms of difficulty.

The argument I've heard for why there isn't one for grabbing a scroll it to prevent scroll grabs from being messes where tons of pugs try to grab the scroll for the achievement.

As it is, scroll running is kind of a chore, so it isn't super common that somebody willingly gums up a groups scroll run. Again, not saying I agree with it--it sure feels achievement worthy--but that's the argument I've heard.

Oh no no no no no....

This comes up now and then and every time I have to remind people of how horrible it is when a random player who has no idea what they're doing takes the scroll.

It's bad enough as it is now that when you're fighting to take a keep/temple half the people there are stood by the scroll spamming pick up.

Now imagine if everyone want that achievement.

title, dye, achievement - needs the whole shebang.

its a lot of effort and a lot of risk to run a scroll.

make it fun - achievement title dye for "If you cap two offense scrolls within 5 minutes of each other" etc.

    ZOS do it. please. kthx
