Resources anti regen

Was hoping someone could give some info on this issue but it's kind of hard to explain and I don't have videos atm.

So the problem is I will have low resources, be out of combat, no buffs being cast or lost, no weapon swapping, no ability being cast, just standing in one spot with an empty resource bar and it will start to regen. Will regen to let's say 6k then on the next tick instead of regen it looses the resources and drops back to 4.5k then will jump to 7k then to 9k then drop again to 7.5k back and forth until the bar is full again.

This has been happing to me for over a year on pc and xbox in all settings, pvp emp city, pve trials, everywhere on stam and magicka builds. Now there's no way to know for sure if it's occurring during combat because bars are up and down non stop but if it is then I feel like this is a pretty important issue being that sustain is so tight.

The reason I bring it up now is because I will hear people say, "man I have crap sustain today" and even i feel like somedays on the same build my sustain is not the same so i was wondering if triggering this to happen somehow was the cause.

It's probably addon sync issue (ftc, lui etc does this but its not effecting real regen), check without addons.

I think people just want to cover themselves before the trolls come in and mock them, it shouldn't even be something we talk about unless maybe someone makes a wall of text with no formatting.

I would definitely recommend this - disable all addons and see if you have the same issue or not. Although this would not explain why you had this issue on console version, as console can't have addon's afaik.

Is this happening on just the one character (regardless of build), or is it happening on all characters on your account?

I don't think it has to do with add-ons because it use to happen to me on xbox where there are no add-ons. I have videos on my xbox account but I'm not sure that I can access them due to no live membership for 9 monthe or so.

I was on about the other posters he apologised by saying he was on his phone , it annoys me that there are so many different nationalities that play this game and English isn't their first language and not everyone is blessed with massive IQ's , so I can't see why people can't just let it go as long as they get the jest of what's being posted

It happens on all characters on the account, different races, sets ect. I have videos of it on multiple different characters on xbox but I have not had it plugged up in around 9 months so I'm not sure if I can still access them.

although not exact same problem i do get similar regen problems, i've narrowed it down to either being out of stealth or in combat that is the issue, OR it cold even be the new regen CP passive but i'm getting the poison effect applied to me whilst i don't even get hit

Honestly, I see this happen every now and then. I thought I was just looking at it wrong, or that I'm just crazy and seeing things. This is an issue that ZOS should probably start looking into if multiple people are noticing it.

same here man, i play a fair amount too, but that's how we surely get to notice these things haha but after playing my stam blade with high mag regen for 18 months and knowing how much magic i have to use without even glancing down... when something changes, i notice it instantly. whether it be CP campaign or non cp, this same thing happens to me... also when im not even in pvp hahaha

You can also be low on resources but have enough to cast a specific ability and not be able to cast it. I found this out while spamming Elusive Mist to progress my vamp stages one day. Our resource bars are a lie!!

also when i mentioned it being the CP passives, what i meant was when you are damaged by another player they can effect your regen by a certain % for a certain amount of time... now there used to be a bug where when you hit a player it would proc THEIR velidreth.. now i've notice it happening with selenes, it procs when i hit someone instead of when i'm hit by someone. i wouldnt put it passed zos to accientally implement the CP passive effect applying when i hit a player rather than as intened, getting hit by a player

This is exactly what I'm talking about tho.

oh well, if this is exactly what you're talking about.. then i feel your pain man, i set up my builds to be perfect, that is to do enough damage and regen to suit my stam blade playstyle, but these bugs are putting a strain on it hahaha

also noticed this many times, i have literally seen my magic bar deplete whilst it takes the cost of cloak, the sound of cloak plays but the animation an the actual cloak.... doesn't hahaha

The videos are not suppose to really be "proof" for developers, just a way to show what I am talking about and I was just saying that I do not know if I can acess them anymore because I have not had xbox live gold in that long and I am unsure of how Microsoft operates with saved content aka me needing a gold membership to get those videos that I have saved on the account. Im not really sure how to make videos on pc but I can figure it out if proof is required. But the video the other guy posted shows it.

But yes it happened last night on pc in pve, and in pvp the day before that. Figuring out how to make videos on pc for future reference is prolly a good idea tho lol

I have had something similar happen to me on pc na a few times. My toon starts walking in slow motion and all of her resources get drained. The only thing I have found that fixes this for me is relogging. Just happened to me again a couple days ago. I don't know weird things are happening lately in this game.
