The REAL final threat.

So as I was waiting to recieve my epic emperor costume and godlike powers from the amulet of kings at Molag Bals Castle of pain, the quest bugged and I didn't receive any epic powers, not even a shiny emperor costume!
First I thought about restarting the quest, so I could fight through the hordes of deadra as was intended, by one shot killing all of them.
But then I thought: Why not give it a go without the insane buffs and see how I do against the forces of Molag Bal on my own.
And that is exactly what I did
Killing the enemies wasn't too much of a challenge, but I did die once against one of the fireballs Molag Bal flings at you which hit me for 28980 damage or something stupid like that.
Proof of me having 0 Akatosh powers or costume:
Luckily I was able to use the powers of Akatosh to build the bridge and destroy the walls, if not, my adventure would have ended pretty fast.
When I arrived at the big man himself, I got lifted up as usual and I sacrificed my non-existent powers to turn him to stone.
But now the real fight started
I now haf to kill Molag Bal without the damage buff or the defense buffs. His auto attacks hit for half of my health (8000+)
I dodged all his jumps and fireballs so I didn't get to find out how hard they would have hit.
Me with the big dude (again without the buffs):
I won (without dying) and I admit being pretty proud of myself afterwards.
It was a ton of fun doing it without the buffs and having a boss in front of you that can actually kill you makes it a lot more interesting.
Just wanted to share my victory with you guys. Please let me know if this has ever happend to any of you aswell and what you thought of it

✭✭✭✭✭During the second month after the game released I did that fight for the second time. Even though the costume was present I clearly did not have the defensive buff. Had gotten one shot by the fire balls as you mentioned but the Molag Bal fight was more challenging back then with several Titan adds spawning during the fight. I do not think they spawn anymore.
I was able to handle Bal just fine, the adds were to much though and since it took longer to kill them without the buff Molag Bal returned while they were still up and all of them together were to much. I finally got it.2 -

✭✭✭✭✭I don't think people actually read the OP and noticed the part that says the Quest bugged and OP DIDN'T get the supernatural powers, meaning OP defeated Molag Bal with a disadvantage instead of the other way 'round. The Titan still spawn all with 80k hp, and when you don't kill them fast enough Bal will join back in. That was probably the hardest part.0 -

I have never had a hard time killing him untill this bug happend. But I only started playing 2 years and some months ago so I never fought the original version.
