The very first Elder Scrolls game I ever played was Morrowind. I stepped foot into Seyda Neen, ventured into the swamp and immediately got rekt by a mudcrab. So I bought some gear from the merchant in town and attempted to fight this mighty creature again. It was a fierce battle, both of us growing weary from the, what seemed like, never-ending fight to the death.
Finally I had triumphed. For several minutes I stood over my fearless opponent, lying there lifeless before collecting the spoils of my kill, some crab meat and 1 gold.
I will never forget this moment.
Then came Oblivion. These guys seemed even tougher, but the fight was slightly shorter due to my attacks not missing as much as they did in Morrowind.
Imagine my disappointment when coming up against my first mudcrab in Elder Scrolls Online. Not only are they much smaller, but they are incredibly weak. I almost pity the poor critters. They're so pathetic they won't even fight you unless you attack them. In previous games they would take crap from nobody. If you ventured into their territory then only one of you would walk out of there alive. You had no say in the matter.
I implore you to buff mudcrabs. Increase their size to scale as they did in previous Elder Scrolls games, make them hostile, and a lot tougher than they currently are. Basically you should have to think twice before messing with a mudcrab, not walk over them like it's nothing.
Like, burrowing under the ground? Really? That's not their style. They're killers. Barbarians. Set them free ZOS, please.
Thank you.
