Let Us Be Able to Ignore Cadwell's Silver and Gold

I am really annoyed with the fact that the Cadwell's Silver and Gold main story quests are FORCED upon you. Once you complete the main story quests in the harborage, you are then forced to have Cadwell's Silver and then Gold quests in your log until completion. I did Cadwell's Silver and Gold in their entirety years ago on my main character. Since then, I have leveled two other characters to max level, and they both have Cadwell's Silver sitting in their quest logs because I do not want to suffer through that again on yet another character. The fact that you cannot abandon these quests once they are forced into your quest log, nor can you ignore them being placed there in the first place, is probably the most annoying and frustrating thing in the game for me. I am actually deterred from leveling as many characters to max as I would like because I do not want to have to stare at Cadwell's Silver and/or Gold sitting in my quest log.

After I completed the main story in the harborage on my newest character, a warden, I deliberately ignored Cadwell's first attempt to give me Cadwell's Silver immediately following completion of the last main story quest. I then ported directly to Vvardenfell because Cadwell doesn't follow you there. I was safe for about an hour until I decided to go to Ghratwood and pick up the daily pledges. Cadwell promptly appeared and forced the Cadwell's Silver quest into my log as soon as I traveled to the mainland.

There needs to be a way to ignore Cadwell's Silver and Gold or auto-complete them on any characters if you have already completed them once before. You should also be able to abandon Cadwell's Silver and Gold quests from your quest log if they were forced there. I would even pay like 50,000 gold per character just to be able to auto-complete or ignore these quests on new characters. Yes, I am OCD and a completionist; I don't want to stare at those flippin' quests in my quest log.

It's one quest you have to ignore...try to keep things in perspective. This shouldn't be causing you to flip out so much.

I found after my main went though silver and gold that I was able to ignore them just fine on all the other toons.

It is one quest that takes like 30+ quests to complete to get rid of it, and then you get hit with Gold after which is the same thing.

Don't click open that quest and do the first step, and it's only ONE quest.

If you're complaining about content being in the game then :expressionless:

Heh, I learned several TES games ago the ability to ignore open quests in my log. That said, I am pleased that ESO has an ability to abandon quests. I didn't realize that ability apparently does not apply to Gold & Silver? I wonder why, and that would seem to be the answer. I would think that would not be a hard thing to fix.

The only reason I can think of for not offering the ability to abandon on Silver & Gold is the sheer size of the quests. I can imagine the screams of someone who is 90% through Gold who accidently abandons the quest. Lol.

Maybe don't finish the main quest, until you've done all the stuff you wanted to do?

    can u not abandon it?
I'm a PVE roleplayer concerned about my vampires stage 4 skin tone and keep getting load screens so I came here to distract people from major issues with a rant thread about my characters cosmetic appearance.

Can't abandon it. Easiest way to avoid having to do it when Cadwell wants you to is do all the work before completing the main story.

You're not allowed to abandon main quests. Which kinda makes sense. You can't pick those back up again, or rerun them. So you do it, you do it once, and then it's gone forever. Strictly speaking, SIlver and Gold aren't even real quests. I mean, they've got some dialog from John Cleese, but it's just, "go play the main storyline for the next alliance counter-clockwise from yours," and, "go play the main storyline for the last alliance." It's been awhile, but knocking them out in a single push takes about 10 hours. Not trivial, but they can be cleared, and you'll get about two dozen skill points (roughly), so there is a reason to finish that stuff off.

those quests are literally worth doing on every alt because of skill points. if you ignore side quests and only do silver and gold quests, while skipping dialogue, it doesn't take that long. in fact, it can take less time than gathering some of the skyshards, which you need 3 of, in order to get a single skill point
