Dont nerf proc sets too bad @ZoS

Not a proc set guy in pvp but i happen to run proc sets on all of my pve toons because they help with dps and its 2 pieces that give u 2 bonus.

If u nerf them any more than you have i dont see a reason to run monster sets for dps .

Which would limit different play styles even more.

Although we have no idea what the actual changes will be or when they are coming but dont Screw this up by overdoing it

Its been over a year people have complained about procs but in that time i havnt heard ONE GOOD SUGGESTION on how to make them more balanced.

Only descent one i heard is if u are wearing more than one proc and one happens to go off all procs are on a 5 sec cool down that way you cant get hit with more than one proc in 5 seconds.

Any suggestion on how to improve them instead of demanding nerfs with no backup plan?

Btw i hope they don't nerf em only time i have trouble with procs is in non cp bg which is mainly why everybody is crying for nerf

Cp pvp i can take proc damage all day as long as you are in heavy armor or shield stacking in light. If you are in medium u better be dodge rolling so you dont get hit xD .

they will nerf them just enough so the devs will still be able to rely on them as a crutch to say "we play the game"

I think they will make it like DOTs, so it will not hurt much PVE, but will remove insane burst from PVP.

At least thats what I hope to see

Making proc sets dot based is a little unfair to the classes who dont have access to purge. It also homogenises proc sets in general since there is also a bunch of dot based proc sets already.

This is not the correct solution.

The correct solution is to return critical hits on procs but make it so they scale according to your weapon/spell damage, weapon/spell critical, weapon/spell penetration only. That way heavy users wont be getting that much value from procs unless they stack weapon damage which may hurt sustain. Same thing goes for medium or light users, they will have stronger procs then heavy builds due to higher crit and weapon/spell damage but they cannot stack multiple procs because it will net low proc based damage due to the scaling requiring high stats.

That means it will be advantageous to use 1 proc set, 1 damage set and either 1 tank or sustain set. Gankers will gravitate to either 2 procs + 1 damage or 1 proc + 2 damage sets to get more value out of the proc based damage by reducing overall sustain or tankiness for more scaling onto proc's.

This in my opinion is the best way to balance out proc sets.

This generalization of proc sets will kill what little build variety we have. If we have 65-70 sets that procs damage or healing only 8-9 of them are overperforming right now
If you want me to reply to your comment type @Ankael07 in it.

If they would just pull their collective heads out and separate PvE and PvP all er, most of the nerf drama would die down.

I don't think there is any intention on doing a blanket Nerf to all proc sets. Obviously a bunch of them already suck. It's those eight or nine that need tweaking. Many sets already perform differently between PVE and PVP. This needs to be applied to the over-performing proc sets.

My suggestion is that on those sets simply add the language:

Damage dealt to enemy players is reduced by 50%

It's too late, people have been crying about them for a long time now. The horse has left the barn, ZOS like other *** MMO companies always water down their content and make things much easier for the casual crowd.

You know what would be fun? Remove the 5pc proc sets, but buff the crap out of the monster ones, however give them a good delayed telegraph (Like Nerien'eth).
This would make them useful in PVE, while making them excellent zerg destroyers in PVP and less effective in small scale.

Oh hey, it's you again i thought you left the game and the forums with 2 posts where you announced your resign from eso.
If they nerf any proc set the same they did with bsw they'll still be op. Remember bsw was nerfed from 600 to 525 spelldmg and had its proc chance reduced by 5%. A set that absolutely dominated the game and was the go to set for any build except for pet sorc because stamina chars where pure garbage.
Good luck with this patch @Rikkof the gankers came back and now they are everywhere and they are stronger than before.
Before you open the next discussion about gankers let me pick up some popcorn and a cold beer

yes they come back but ZOS is already going to nerf their playstyle hard, in case you did not watched the latest ZOS streams, from gear to abilities they will get nerfed all across the board (it will lead to a healthy pvp environment)
I play mag sorc and all nerfs to stamina classes are ok min my book, kk tnx bye
Also, one more dude to add to my ignore list, tnx for poping in this thread (BohnT is now on ignore.)

In PvP, all set bonuses should be fully nullified, so it will just be class vs class. This will remove all this meaningless debate on nerfs. Problem solved.
