Clarification on Warden's ability - Frozen Retreat

This is a copy paste from another thread but I figured out I would get faster and more replies here... So if anyone could shed some light into the matter...


Haven't got this skill yet to a morph stage but I was curious how retreat morph actually works.... So let's say we hava this type of scenario in a pvp environment or even PVE.

An ally is fighting an enemy ahead and I cast frozen retreat on that area under their feet. What happens next?
Tooltip states that the portal is removed upon activation. Is there any arming time of that trap?

1)No arming time
1a)Enemy is immediately pulled to me and the portal ground effect disappears. Ally didn't get the chance to use the synergy.
1b)Enemy is immediately pulled to me and the portal ground effect disappears but my ally still has some time to cast the synergy.

2) Arming time
2a) Ally gets the chance to cast the synergy first (before the pulling effect takes place ~ arming time) but the portal now is gone and the enemy stays there.
2b)Ally has to wait for the arming time for the synergy to activate. Which in other words leads us to point 1)

    There is one second before the portal can port the enemy, but the synergy for the ally is immediately up. The synergy does not consume the portal.
    That's mean you can port your ally and then your enemy with the same portal.


    Some other tricks on the portal :
    - only one ally can have the synergy for each portal (you see a pillar of light on the center of the portal when the synergy is up).
    - only one ally can see the synergy, if two or more are on the portal only one can see and use the synergy, but he can "give" it by leaving the portal.
    - if the ally use the synergy when you are out of range (more than 28 meter -even in pvp, range increase passives change the range where the portal can be casted but not the pull range- or too high/low, or no line of sight), the synergy is consumed and the ally don't move.
    - the portal is totally invisible for enemies, and do not affect them as long as you aren't on the range. The portal is not consumed if the enemy isn't pulled.
    - the portal cannot port an enemy under anti-cc effect (it will "wait" for the anti-cc to be finished).
    - the portal give an immobilization and the anti-cc effect to the ported enemy.
    - if the enemy is blocking, he is ported, don't get the immobilization but not the anti-cvc effect either (yes, you can immediately re-port it).
