I'm looking forward to my 5 free Crown Crates on the 17th, but I have no desire for Dwarven stuff. If I don't use them until (for example) the Wild Hunt season, will they become Wild Hunt crates or stay Dwarven crates?

    Crate will not change, but any crown gems you get from duplicates or stuff you convert to gems will remain to use in future seasons.

    No, not everything. If you get a mount, costume, pet, memento, etc. that you don't care for you cannot turn it to gems. Only duplicates and the lower level stuff like potions, riding lessons, etc. There are some housing items that you can turn in for a decent number of gems though.

    Consumables can be converted but pets, mounts, costumes and mementos cant be unless you already have them.

    As far as tested. Yep, everything inventoriable can be converted. From potions to mountbuff, from exp scrolls to.. Something. exception.. The first time you get a collectible. Mounts and cosmetics csnnot give gems unless you have thrm already
