I just have a question. How does a guy do 35k+ damage in 4 moves in only a second...... I'm lucky if I get 1 crystal shard off before I'm assasinated.

Is it just me or are sorcerers majorly out of their league in Cyrodiil. Am I doing something wrong maybe?

Are sorcerers only good for defense? Because seriously that's the only time I'm not assasinated in the blink of an eye as when I'm up on a keep wall.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Keep your shields up. Put pressure on the enemy so he starts worrying about his own health instead of trying to lower yours.

Curse, blink through him to stun him, apply execute, hit him with instant frag when it procs(it should by now) at the same time the curse explodes, possibly instakilling him from curse+frag+execute going off at the same time, if not drop mines and stand behind them, etc. etc... im sure someone who plays a sorc can give more advice.

ESO PvP can take quite a while to learn. Sorcerer is not a bad class at all. I suggest you watch some youtube videos seeing how people build their character and how they play it to get an idea. Then when you've found a good build and geared up, practice alot :-)

You have to mitigate incoming damage somehow, either heavy armor with high crit resist, shields, block, reflect or roll dodge out of the way.

If you're getting ganked out of combat, keep defensive rune up. If you're in combat, you should be keeping hardened ward up.

Mag sorcs can be squishy. But if you play the class with the proper rotation you can be a big pain in the ass for other players. Mag Sorc has good defenses and once you learn the timing, good burst damage.

Are you hard casting frags with no shield up?

    LOL!

Ward should be up always. recast it often on average every 3-4 seconds. Also learn to break free quickly and always refresh your shield before you get CCd.

    Opener

Ward -> curse -> wrath -> proc frag or force pulse -> Ward repeat

    If you get low

    Ward -> bar swap -> healing ward -> bar swap -> ward -> curse/wrath/frag

Those are the basic rotations practice you will be at least average with good gear

    Good luck!

I get sick of seeing Incapacitating strike, wrecking blow and executioner in my death recap. I figure there are too many people running cookie cutter builds out there, all copying the same build and skill templates.

Unfortunately that is the way the game has developed - just as well I don't mind dying.

It's just there's not many options for stam users in terms of effective damage skills. Mostly we're relegated to a few attacks across all stam classes. 85% will use gap closer, wrecking blow, executioner. We really don't have many options.

It should be obvious the OP isn't experienced, why do people treat newer players with such disdain?
