Crafting Bag is very annoying!

I spent ages retrieving the items from my crafting bag and putting them in my bank only for them to end up going straight back into my crafting bag without realising it. The reason I retrieved my item is because I have the free ESO plus and i don't know what will happen to my items after it ends, and I don't want to lose them. I grabbed this stupid free eso plus membership and regret it so much, ESO plus is pretty useless to me, as I don't plan on making any other characters and I prefer to buy my DLC's so I keep them permanently. The only thing that is even slightly attractive is the double housing furnishing space so I can decorate more but that is it. The bank space because my bank became empty after i got the craft bag so its made my bank useless because I only carry what I need and use crafting mats for my bank (gold mine btw ;) ) I've noticed a few guild bank and bank problems since being on ESO plus and using the craft bag, saying something about can't access guild bank or whatever.

I'm glad I actually got to experience ESO plus and its honestly not even that great and I really don't feel like I benefit from it what so ever, ESO plus member special events does not attract me at all, and I don't care about crown crates or free crowns. It is a lot cheaper in the long run to just pay for each dlc separately as they get released. Also, I am just voicing my opinion and giving feedback about my experience so I want to keep the comments friendly.

ESO plus is not worth it.

After the trial is over, you will still be able to withdraw items from your crafting bag. You will only be unable to put things back in.

I am pretty sure you can go into options and turn off the auto-deposit to crafting bag. Also, all those mats that went into the bag should still be there and easily retrievable after the free trial is over, you just won't be able to add any more to the bag.

I'm not saying you should love ESO+ or sign up for the paid version, but don't panic about your mats. At most you should screenshot what's in the bag before the trial is over so if a bug takes them out of your grasp you can document it to Support.

Crafting bag is one of those things ZoS got right . You just need to L2P with it . I'm all for pointing a finger at real problems but that ain't one . Maybe a better tutorial window for new users is needed but the craft bag functions great .

No. The Crafting Bag is a better solution to crafting material storage than Housing storage.

In any case, for the duration of your ESO Plus trial, just embrace the Crafting Bag. When a crafting material hits your inventory, it can go directly into the Crafting Bag. That includes when deconstructing, which means you never need to worry about whether you have 3 or 4 slots available when you deconstruct something. When you need to use that material, you do not need to pull it from the bag back to your inventory, you can just use it directly from the Crafting Bag. In this manner, it works better than the bank, and way better that storing it in a house.

OP, everything in your craft bag will still be there after the trial for you to use as you normally would, you won't lose it. You just won't be able to add to it after the trial. So don't stress about that and spend time clearing your craft bag- it's safe :)

Personally, I've already subbed based on the craft bag during this trial. I had no idea it was THIS GOOD. When I first logged in and 90% of my inventory flew into the bag, it was liberating. I realized how much I never knew that I never knew. I saw the light. I heard an angel choir.

I've done almost nothing today except run around gleefully collecting mats. BECAUSE I CAN!

Wuut? Best quality of life addition to the game and you are complaining about it?

Things in the bag will stay in the bag until you withdraw them after the ESO+ expires or you move them to your inventory. The whole point of the bag is to lighten the load on your inventory and bank space that is why it auto moves it to the craft bag.

As said by others, there is nothing to fear. But if you really don't want to use it...

PC- Escape/Settings/Gameplay/Auto-Add to Craft Bag.... Off

Console- Menu/Options/Gameplay/Auto-Add to Craft Bag.... Off

Do that on each character, then if you like remove your items from the craft bag.

Going full circle. I remember so many post just like this when the bag first came out. What happens to my stuff!!

Anyway as others have said it stays In the bag. Just nothing can be added. It really isn't a bad deal even if you don't sub all the time. When you start feeling crowded on space or want 1500 crowns for something. Just sub for a month and clean up. Then unsub until you need to space or crowns again.

But over all the bag is a great boon on consoles where there are no addons to help with management.

It's also one of the reasons that housing doesn't need storage. Housing needs displays and armor stands more than it needs storage.

OP, I think your concerns about what happens to your craftibag bits after your ESO short term trial have been assuaged. Also, as pointed out, there is an option in your settings to not have things automatically go into your craftibag. The specific objections you mentioned really do sound like a matter of gaining familiarity with the details of ESO+.

Regardless, I'm glad you're getting the chance to 'try before you buy' with ESO+. I've had ESO+ for a long time and I'm very happy with it. Like many, I love the craftibag. I also very much like the ability to dye costumes.

My gaming habits are to latch onto a game and play it exclusively every day, usually for several years. So in my case ESO+ makes good sense. For those who play many games at once and may not play ESO as regularly, I can see where ESO+ might not make sense.

The reason housing didn't get storage was not from crafting bag but ZOS stated only 3% or so people had bank and toon limit of storage. As for crafting bags it's a god send for crafters, no more going to bank to retrieve some mats and then go to station to craft stuff, it's all there just waiting for you

It's a good Bussiness idea for them. ( not as good as crown crates) Make a inventory management system so bad people are willing to pay $15 a month to help deal with it.
I bet provisioning alone has 70-80 items . So much fun they sell a way to Eliminate dealing with it. Brilliant in some ways really

That just shows that they don't really pay attention to what is going on in the game.

I don't have my "bank and toon limit of storage" maxed out is because I cannot frikken AFFORD IT.
Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.

Well that's that then. You based your view on eso plus on the fact that your items automatically went in to your craft bag and you were scared to lose them. Instead of finding out what happens when your eso plus runs out.It actually stays in the craft bag. You don't lose anything.

Also, you could have gone in to settings and turn off the auto craft bag feature and saved you from writing this whole thread.
