I think you missed it, there were previously some comments that referenced real world racist hate speech and politics... I believe they have been removed. AFAIK none of the fictionally racist comments have been removed.

Orc is the one race I won't play. Just physically unattractive to me through and through, and I hate that they're called "orcs". I think it was stupid for ES to use that name for a race of people that aren't inherently evil monsters. They should have saved that name for Dunmer, haha! But seriously, just no. I'm old-school D&D and "orcs" are for killing. They should just have stuck with Orsimer. And I could deal with the green skin, and tusks would've even been cool if they didn't have the worst underbite to go with it, and the males all look like pinheads, and somehow they all look bug-eyed, too. Maybe they were going for a humanoid bulldog/pug sort of thing? Anyway, bleh.

Oh, and also I really hate Malacath and the resulting culture, but then, I'm reeeeeeeeally not keen on Dunmer religion/culture either. Or Altmer...or Bosmer...or any of the human...

Honestly the only races I genuinely like, lore-wise, are Khajiit and Argonians. They seem to be the only ones who didn't go out and mug other races for their land. Everyone else are just a bunch of murdering land-thieves.

Dunmer

It's the Dunmer's fault that the Dwemer are gone. They can't make up their minds on what to worship and end up betraying everyone that they work with. It's also their fault that orcs even exist in their cursed state (good on the orcs for making the best of it, though). They consistently meddle in things that they shouldn't and let their arrogance get the better of them when it comes to these things rather than thinking logically, leading to mass die-offs and brutal slaughters of not only their own people, but also other races. Just all around awful. The one positive thing that happened due to the dunmer is the agreement that sotha sil supposedly made with some of the daedric princes. But the bad truly outweighs the good here.

There are some I don't like the look of like Orcs; and while some are barbarians, a lot of Orcs are really nice people and it seems a shame to hold the tusks against them. There are some that are just unpleasant to be around, like the Dunmer; but I can walk away and I never play a Dunmer that way. Nords are a whole different level of unpleasant. I don't like their looks and I have never met a Nord male who was not rude, crude, and socially unacceptable, not to mention drunk. The women are just bad-tempered and cross. Gotta disagree with Breton lovers, too. I hate their maze like cities, their attitude even towards their own people is too much like a corporate lawyer. Their kings are idiots, too.

To be fair, the Dunmer have far more Japanese-centric features when you look at their architecture and their "Great Houses" social structure. The Redguard architecture and culture does seem to be all over the place, though.

I believe I have discussed my dislike of the Bosmer repeatedly on these forums. It is an intense dislike, possibly verging on the pathological. But happy to rant again.

It's not that I find their lore ridiculous, nor that they are too teeny-tiny, nor that I dislike their general look. These are part of my dislike but not the main reason.

It's the fecking accents. I can't describe just how appaling the Mockney accent is. It is painful to have to listen to through 3 (three!) whole zones. Far worse and much less endearing than the travesty in Mary Poppins.

BTW those who say "Argonian" know nothing. Currently it is the most versatile class, just one step above Dumer (just because sustain issues).

Ok, I'm gonna have to stop both of you right there. Argonians have perhaps the coolest looking architectural design - I'm not talking about the mud-huts that many of the slaves or refugees are often pushed to create. No, I'm talking about the massive Aztec-themed "Xanmeer" structures. Argonians have had an empire. It was a long time ago and they had it disrupted by a race called the Kathringi, who eventually died off in Black Marsh as well.

Argonian Xanmeers are RUINS for a reason, much like the Ayleids, only the Argonians kept primarily to themselves in the Marsh. There are VERY few Ayleid ruins that far South for a reason. The only species really capable of surviving there are the Argonians themselves. Also, being that Swamp is a completely hostile environment to all other races but themselves, their region is naturally fortified. Also, they have mentioned in texts of having a "king" and having "royal assassins" plucked from birth as Shadowscales.

Remember, Black Marsh is a BIG place and Shadowfen really doesn't do the Argonians or the region justice!

Voted for Argonians, but to be honest: all races of humans.. Everytime elves and humans try to coexist, humans start to slaughter elves, because they are "alien" and "the devil".
Doesn't matter how elves treat the humans, intermingle with them (Direnni), enslave them (Ayleids) or do nothing, humans always end up resenting them and slaughtering them in the end... Typical human behaviour, not bright enough to think outside the box

Ugh, Altmer are not "terrible people" like a lot of you said, some of them are bad people like the Vailed heritance, but the Aldmeri Dominion took care of them, besides one of the most important guilds and the cause that magic is a thing in Tamriel was created by Vanus Galerion, an Altmer.
Bosmer are by far worse, they are ugly, they cannibalize, (but not too much now thanks to Queen Ayrenn, again, an Altmer) and they are just a big mess wherever they are.
