There seems to be a few things that are confused in this game (in terms of concept). I know the game is an MMO it really is unique in some aspects which is why I love it so, in others though its trying to adhere to some type of standard that doesn't flow with the rest of the game.
Ill try to keep this short
Overall goal is simplification
I really love with what you did in Tamriel One. Truly made this game feel like an Elder Scrolls game. How ever I do feel that we need go get rid of the 1-50 levels. It just feels like a gate to the true leveling system. This does bring a problem of creating new characters. Since you would have an instant CP 630 or w/e. Ill talk about that more later
Gear should also just get rid of the levels all together, Instead just have it scale with your Champion level up to the cap. It would have to me minimal increases every level though. Something like +1 Spell Damage and lvl 1 and +630 at lvl 630. I should be able to start a characters and feel free to roam about where I want and wear what I have grinded for hours to achieve. You can do this regardless at 50. Hence the gate.
On the topic of gear, we have to stuff going on with them and more than half of this "stuff" are things we never use.
Simplify it. At the moment we only use end game materials except for a fleeting moment when you start the game the first time. Most people will create a full set of items using lvl one mats. Then once at 50 we are using CP 160 mats. On top of that we have these style materials that are stacked up to the thousands or they are so rare that you have like 3.
Make the style based off the material need to make it with. Each zone has its own style and with your dlc zones, all the new sets can be found with material found in that zone. So if you want to keep the style material rare lets say (you would make less nodes on the map) For example. High Iron Ore would be found in Auridon and crafting that material would make you the High Elf Heavy set. If you don't have the book then you still wouldn't be able to make the set.
Transmog....nuff said on that
Merge Traits into Enchants. Don't you love running something 100 times to get a set in the right trait? The double RNG in this game is maddening at times.
I also feel that the champion point system could be reworked into the trees. This would take a lot of work on the dev side, so this is a stretch. To continue with the theme of "Do what you like" truly let players do what the like. The class trees need to be reworked for all classes in to 4 trees. Spell DPS, Melee DPS, Healing and Tanking. Arguable you can do this now, but X tree of Y class will always be better than X tree of Z Class. Make them balanced with strengths and weakness in certain areas to make each one still feel unique.
However I think the best course of action with this change would be to have the characters not share points. (I know don't hate me)
Instead of champion points give us a skill point every level. Cap the skill points still so we don't have super gods running amuck. This could be like what we have now just merged.
Sorc Storm Calling
"Increase damge from Lighting spells" 10 levels maxed out you get 10% more damage.
You would just have way more options in the trees to spend your points in. Again same result, Just simplifying the experience.

I know at the end of the day this is just one mans babbling, but I do hope the devs just take a looks at this
