I am level 24 Dragonknight working on a stam tank/DPS build. What is the fastest way to level up besides doing quest? Also should I start doing the writs? I haven't done them a lot but I plan on getting my crafting skills up. Because I like to craft all my own gear. I ve done this in past single player ES games. Also any tips on gaining more gold? So far I ve subscibe to ESO plus but I rather just by the ingame bag upgrades instead at some point.

Start researching asap. Writs will also help you with various crafting drops and inspiration as well as surveys. But research as much as you can.
You can make money from writs too or selling various raw mats or upgrade materials. You can also try stealing and fencing various stolen stuff. Steal mostly green and blue quality things so you don't waste your limit on cheap whites

    Welcome to ESO

For crafting, yes, do the writs, but also, research traited items as consistently as you can.

Crafted sets have a minimum requirement of learned traits for the items(s) you want to craft (starting at 2 and going up to 9).

And you also need to have researched a specific trait if you want to craft gear with that trait, so try to focus on the traits that are more important first for the pieces that you are most likely to craft the soonest.

I find that the Fighter's Guild, Mages Guild and Undaunted dailies give a good chunk of XP and vendorable junk (as well as a chance at the Draugr motif pages) and you level those faction skill lines while you are at it.

Also, I vendor white and green junk and only deconstruct blue and purples I don't need. It adds up.

Some people really recommend thieving as a means of making gold.

How do you get the dailies from the guild like that? I am part of the fighters guild and undaunted. I got both of there skill lines anyways. Yea I ve been desconstructing everything so far usually. But I ll start just selling the white and green junk at this point. I do try to research traits and stuff as often as I can. I ll start doing those writs though as well.

Also I read the werewolf curse is good to have for a tank/dps stamina build. Is this true? Should I look to try and start this quest line?

If you have been introduced to the guilds, they will have a quest giver at their guild hall (and the Undaunted Enclave) in the capital city of your faction (Mournhold, Deshann for EP, Wayrest, Stormhaven for DC and Elden Root, Grathwood for AD).

You can actually go to any of the three to pick them up and deliver them. If doing all three at once, I find Mournhold the most convenient, while Grathwood is the worst layout-wise.

Oh, and if you want to keep deconstructing everything for now, that's fine. But once you start vendoring more junk, you will see it adds up.

Another note: The reward for doing writs includes an Intricate piece, which gives you extra crafting XP when you deconstruct it.

For gold: As a beginner, stealing is profitable, but make sure you don't get caught, or it could cost you more. Joining a trader guild and selling raw materials could also give alot of gold when it sells.

Saving gold is also a way of making gold: Don't spend it on repairing armor. You'll level up relatively fast and you could equip the next best gear that shows up after completing a quest or opening a chest. Don't bother with sets yet.

As a beginner, you shouldn't worry about gold too much yet. Some reasonable goals are getting your first horse(/mount) and bag/bank upgrades. Don't aim for that 1.2 million house yet, or expensive upgrade materials for you lv 24 gear.

Horse, bag, bank. That's where all your gold should be invested in pre-level 50.

Really no need to grind or fast level dude. It's way fast enough as it is. Enjoy the game on the way.

Follow the main quest (Prophet story at Harborage) will give you the idea of what's going on and skill points.

Follow your Alliance questline, skill points and good stories.

Each zone clear the delves, dolmens, public dungeon (open + group event) find the skyshards. Basically enjoy the game as intended and you will level fast.

No need for side quests really, so can save time there.

Crafting its hard to do all crafts and level, mainly due to skill points. Pick one or two, maybe share others with a mate or join a guild.

At L10 go Cyrodiil do the siege lessons, easy skillpoints.

Wear at least one piece of each armor type (light, medium, and heavy)while lvling. You don't want to hit max lvl, realize that you want to wear a different type of armor, then need to level it from zero.

You can knock out leveling and gold at the same place if you go into Cyrodiil, run into the middle of the map, and go down into the Imperial City Sewers (there are three entrances). There will be people down there farming mobs and you can make some friends by typing LFG in zone chat. Best xp grind is just by yourself or with one other person. The reason it's good gold is because the mobs drops Key Fragments which can be sold for good prices. The Telvarr Stones can be used to get gear or resources (Hakeijos are 5k telvarr stones and sell for a nice amount).

    Good luck!

As a new player, others will encourage you to sit back and enjoy the ride for the first time through. That's my recommendation too ... especially if you're a fan of Elder Scrolls games.

But, if you feel compelled to power level, you have a lot of options:

    - Grab a partner (vet level preferred) and head to Skyreach delve in Craglorn.
    - Join one of the dolmen trains in Alik'r, Auridon, or another zone.
    - Public Dungeons give good experience ... and the mob respawn rate is fairly quick.
    - Imperial City DLC also gives good experience on mobs.

Crafting takes up a lot of skill points ... which is admittedly difficult to work on when you're still trying to build a combat role for your Stam DK. But, you can work on crafting early, too, with some disciplined collecting of skyshards and public dungeon event skill points. Check online if you want to know locations of these items.

Writs are daily crafting quests that give a reward coffer (containing various goodies) upon completion. They also give inspiration that boosts your level in the craft as well as some experience. You're correct ... if you're going to be a crafter some day, doing writ dailies are encouraged. Maybe more importantly, be sure to start your trait research right away. Trait research helps you create more powerful gear ... but takes a lot of time to complete.

Yea so far I ve only spent major gold on the bag upgrades. I got a mount already bought it with my ESO plus sub crowns I got. I need to start upgrading my bank as well. Yea I havent got the option to buy a house yet lol. What about the mount upgrades? Should I work on speed only for the mount?

It's more for Stamina DPS than tank, really. But when your Werewolf skills are maxed and you're in a group filled with Werewolves, it's party time in Cyrodiil!

Though at your level, I recommend you wait. You'll need to pour 20 (+1 to turn others) skill points into this, and it's relatively weak when you start it. You're better of building your character for when (s)he's not a werewolf. I became one around lv 50 and I choose the "morally bad" decision in a certain quest line to get 2 skill points for this.

When you have a decent build to play with non-werewolf, and you still want to be a werewolf, you can look for a bite. When it comes to werewolf bites:
    • Don't buy it from the crown store. Not even Sheogorath is this mad.
    • Just ask for it in the Zone chat of each last region of each faction (bangkorai, the rift, reaper's march)
    • You can also get infected yourself, but that requires a full moon in game AND letting yourself get attacked by werewolves during that time AND being lucky.
Players usually give bites for free, some will ask for a payment, but try to get the free one ;)

Okay yea I ve wasted a lot of time on side quests lol. I guess I need to go back to my Alliance quest line and the main quest line. Yea I ve done one public dungeon so far it was a blast.

    Yes. It's only 250 gold every 20 hours, that's only 1 or 2 quests.

My advice: Mix between Speed and Stamina. Inventory could be done later, but that's whatever you find more useful.

Just to ask what is the difference between the store bought one and getting bit in game? Okay cool I ll wait till I am max level and go from there on it.
