Why does Canada get their own color stamp for the fourth of July week? Are you unaware they were on the other side during the revolutionary war? They were paying Indians for Patriot scalps. Seems inappropriate to me.

✭Homemade Beef Jerky:INGREDIENTS
4 lbs london broil beef or 4 lbs flank steaks
2 teaspoons black pepper
2 teaspoons chili powder
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons cayenne pepper, more if you like it hot
2 teaspoons onion powder
1 teaspoon liquid smoke
1⁄4 cup soy sauce or 1⁄4 cup low sodium soy sauce
1⁄2 cup Worcestershire sauce
1⁄2 cup Frank's red hot sauce
DIRECTIONS
Trim all fat off meat.
Cut steak in to 4 inch strips.
The steak should be about 1/2 inch thick.
It's easier to cut meat partially frozen.
Pound meat lightly, you don't want it too thin.
Add all ingredients in a large bowl.
Mix well.
Cover and refrigerate overnight (8 hrs).
Line cookie sheets with tin foil.
Place steak strips on sheets, don't overlap meat.
Set oven at lowest temperature. (150-175°F).
Bake six hours, turning after three hours.
Jerky is done when meat is dried out, depending on your oven.2 -

The_Smilemeister✭✭✭✭✭In regards to the dyes, it thought it was odd that the Liberty one was red. Given it was US Independence Day it begs the question as to what that particular dye makes you think of.

History lesson for @MusekininKanchou : there were now-Canadians on both sides of the war! The rebels/patriots invaded Quebec/Canada in 1775 was because Congress thought they stood a good chance of liberating the colony, and it might have worked if they hadn't been defeated by disease and weather (and Wooster being stupid). Congress fielded multiple Canadian regiments; then-Nova Scotian/now-Canada rebels committed sabotage and attempted armed rebellion at home; and the USA's first international treaty - the Treaty of Watertown, July 1776 - was with the Mi'kmaq, Maliseet, and Passamaquoddy nations in now-Canada, who fielded volunteers too. victoriana-blue✭✭✭✭I think it's hilarious that the red in the Canada stamp is called "Patriots Blood," because one: Canada's got that whole "evolution not revolution" thing going on, and two: I sincerely doubt that ZOS Marketing has ever heard of Les Patriotes or the Lower Canada Rebellions of 1837-8.
I know it's easier to use the same red in all parts of a set, but wow. XDCP 750+

I feel like you are taking it a bit too far mate... 4th of July is the day we celebrate the signing of the declaration of independence meaning being able to be free and independent from Britain's tyranny.. It has nothing to do with the revolutionary war in itself or who fought in the war.0 -
