I'll copy/paste what I said in the previous thread..

Imperials make good tanks. Dks make the best tanks so that makes it a good combo. That being said classes and races don't go together in this game. Races give your class/role a boost (mag or stam, healer, dps or tank and whether you are wanting to do pve or pvp and what type of pve/pvp).

There are just so many factors you can't really put a class to a race, only one that is more suited to a certain role but that doesn't make or break a char if you are not min maxing.

I would say play whatever YOU want to play. Everyone on here is tripping so hard over very minor stat bonuses. At end game, your gear is the only thing that could make or break your character.

This is the correct answer. :)

First, clearly Imperial would be a STAMINA build because they bring NOTHING to Magicka. Typically Magicka builds are range, and Imperial's Red Diamond passive only works off melee attacks. Second, Imperial's receive a boost to Max Stamina. The only thing they would bring to a Magicka build would be max health, and typically Magicka players have access to shields which offset the need for extra health... unless you're playing a Tank.

My favorite character is a StamSorc Imperial... the Red Diamond passives works well with DW and Max Stamina helps boost Stamina pool... and the extra health is always nice. Plus, I'm very picky about the aesthetics of my characters and Imperials and Bretons are the most attractive races IMO... I can not play a game for 1000's of hours with an ugly character. ;)

StamDK as a tank. Otherwise StamNB. Although Bosmer, Redguard and Khajiit are better in specific scenarios, Imperial is very strong on StamNB because of the extra health, which they sorely lack.

Given the Imperial racial boosts to health and stamina, Dragonknight or any other class with a stamina build are the obvious choices.

However, the Imperial character that I devloped first is a Sorcerer. The racial Red Diamond passive might not be of any benefit when he receives incoming ranged damage. But, in practice, every player's character is subject to melee attacks in the majority of combat contexts regardless of the character's class or role.

The boost to Health means that I can Glyph for Magicka instead. The Stamina boost means that he can use Dark Conversion (Dark Magic) to convert Stam to Health without Glyphing for Stamina, or using other measures to boost his Stamina (e.g., boosting it with attribute points that would otherwise be allocated to Magicka or Health).

Which is to say, find ways to make the most of all the passives that your character has. Always remember that what is more important than the potential DPS that your character can possibly inflict is the DPS which your character actually inflicts while you engage in combat with the character.

Elder Scrolls tradition dictates that Imperials are the allrounder race so really anything can be done with an Imperial. If you don't know what you want to do go Imperial and you can't go wrong.

However this isn't your typical Elder Scrolls game. You need to pay to be an Imperial so the amount of us you see running around is considerably more limited. Despite this the passives (to some degree) still reflect the Imperial's main selling point and that is their versatility and customisation options.

Most people will say that Imperial is one of, if not the best race for tanking in ESO thanks to their massive health pool (the biggest in game), but their massive stamina pool is also massive (equal to Redguards) making them a valid option for DPS too. These of course reflect on the standard human nature of relying on pure strength over magic so they are of course more ideal for stamina users, but don't let that convince you they don't make decent magicka users.

They have no magic related passives, however the high health and stamina pools mean you can put more effort into maximising your magicka without too much worry for the other resources. Imperials are unquestionably better than their Nord cousins or Redguards for magicka builds and their natural passives mean they can take more punishment than Bretons.

Now in regards to your question it really does depend on what you want to do. With the exception of healer builds I'd say any class besides Sorcs is a good choice for an Imperial regardless of magicka or stamina.

The original go-to class for Imperials used to be Templars but your poll suggests there's a shift towards Dragonknights and given the resource management it provides (Imperials really do need it) it's easy to see why. Nightblades are also pretty good for Imperials. The lack of durability can easily be compensated for by the Imperial's health bonus. I'd say Sorcs are least viable because (IMO) there is a struggle to make two compatible in regards to what the two offer to each other. Not impossible by any means but certainly not the best choice.

All in all it's up to you. Imperials offer greater flexibility than other races so finding a role for them isn't too difficult. At the very least you are a member of the Imperial master race and I'm proud to call you a fellow Cyrodilic brother (unless you're from Nibenay #ColoviaFTW).

Power level to CP160 in a week:
Where is the end game? You just played it.
Why don't I have 300+ skill points? Because you skipped content along the way.
    Where is new content? Sigh.
