I'd put a second monster set to get the proc, but I've heard that some changes will come to monster sets in the near future so that option might not be as viable unfortunately.

Do you have access to Maelstrom Destro staves and trials gear such as Infallible Aether or Moondancer?

Yes, you can do VMA with any setup as long as you understand the mechanics and know how to sustain yourself.

You're probably a Mag Sorc, right?

Then you can just cheese it with 5 pc Necro, 5 pc Elegance and any random sharpened lightning staff on both bars.

Simply shield up, apply power surge and all of your dots, then just melt your enemies with heavy attacks and the occasional skill in between the dots and aoe abilities. Don't forget to activate your pets skills too!

For the harder boss fights, save up a crap ton of Ultimate and activate Overload and just spam light attacks. The reason a Mag Sorc is regarded as one of the easier classes to run VMA with is because of this:

1. Overload.
2. Extra shock damage.
3. Massive shields.
4. Pets.
5. Surge.

I'd concur that the Stam Sorc is even easier due to the extra mobility, extreme aoe damage and Crit Surge, but that's just me!
