Console servers are bad since Morrowind as well. Lag so bad you get booted for stacking too many button presses.

Yea I just did a ton of testing ... reset all my network stuff to start. Then disabled all addons. Tested on 3 different PCs on 2 different accounts.

All have the problem.

My pings are great to anything I test on the internet and resmon is reporting good latency to eso64.exe's network connections, but in game it jumps around ping wise and lags on switches, etc. It's not major but it's super noticeable especially since you have to animation cancel to pull good dps. So my dps has dropped.

This started since Thursday or so, maybe earlier. Could have been related to a patch this week if there was one, maybe not.

Skill bar swapping has had problems since launch. It's a real PitA considering how the combat system is set up.

I have been have this and high ping count causing a lot of lag issues. Sometimes as bad as rubberbanding. I get some time when I hit a key and it takes a while to happen and if I hit the keys multiple times and nothing happens I get disconnected from the server saying that I sent to many commands to the server in a certain time so I get disconnected.

They have some major server problems this week.

Ping counts in the 400s and higher a lot.

I have fiber connection to the internet and have tested and I get 800 mbs up and download but a crappy connection to there servers.

That's not how it works. It's not how it works on consoles either. Any lag will be down to your net connection or Zeni's servers.

Swapping bars has been really responsive over the past year from where it was, but it has felt a little more sluggish over the past few days. I've had a few occasions of skills not firing too. Not sure why. Everthing else appears responsive enough.

yup my xbox has a 30 ping 60mb download, but it takes me over a second to swap bars and healing springs hasn't been working right, it started a few days ago, this doesn't seem like the normal lag.

@Yarlenzey Just got that in cyro about an hour ago! They definitely broke something on that last patch.

@ZOS_GinaBruno sorry hate to be one of those tag zos people in every post types, but this seems like a legit bug.

You can have the best internet in the world and it would not matter. It is that their servers are being overloaded and/or their net code is atrocious. This is my opinion here but I believe that the majority of these lag issues has to do with the guild stores and all the trading that is going on.

Now I am not pointing blame at everyone that trades but hear me out. When you move an item from your inventory to your bank/guild bank or a straight up trade it requires processing power because the database needs to be updated. Now a couple hundred players doing it at once shouldn't be too much of an issues however when you have that going on, people buying from guild traders, tons of farming going on (bots), bank transfers, private transfers and emailing items this can be extremely taxing on their servers due to the amount of items being transfered. When you add that to everything else that is going on during prime time, yeah it could be bad. Ever wonder why when you send an email to someone or buy something from a guild store it takes forever to get to you unless you port to a different location? I know a little about networking since I do it for my job everyday but I lack knowledge in game development so I may be full of it here .

All I am saying is that perhaps there are other issues going on besides what people think is causing this ridiculous lag. At times I can be in the middle of no where with no one around but my self and get ping spikes up to 999+, why is that? Just a thought here that maybe they could have over looked. Again, I am not pointing blame at traders I am blaming ZOS for the terrible performance and I hope they get their butt in gear soon and fix these issues.

The thing I'm getting also, that no-one else has mentioned, is the scene-swap.

I am moving; and then suddenly the scene changes to something nearby and then back to where I was again.

I also had the Scene-Swap happen to me last night.....twice. Not to mention my ping usually sits at low 100's........but recently as a few days ago, I am intermittently hitting +999. If I am PVEing, my bars will lock up and I know I am about to get booted. Dungeons seems worse now for me. Last night I waited 2:00 hours to get in a group.(I'm DPS so yes I know the times are long but not this long.) After getting in to Darkshade Caverns II I believe, i was Pinging +999 and disconnected every 5 minutes or so. I gave up and went PVEing and noticed the scene-swapping, and then my death multiple times from actually being somewhere else dying while looking like i was running to my next objective.

Checked all equipment in my house and reset and tested everything. Still same outcome. Daughters and wife are playing other games just fine, and I can to. Just not ESO.

Edit to add: Wanted to point out I don't always get booted from PVE. Ping will skyrocket.....sometimes i get the boot, sometimes i don't. But dungeons seems to kick me as soon as i get in almost.

Yup and timed the delay worst took 8 secs to swap weapons not to mention the times it just won't swap and then it's oh *** I'm about to get kicked from server
